Several levels, you know the drill.
 

These levels were going to be applied to Unholy Nation for the new LAT job, but honestly. I can't be bothered to be nagged by older teenagers to do levels so yeah, I quite like doing it leisurely.

Here they are!

Rate by saying e.g. for Level one "1: 1-10/10" etc etc.

When I first saw them I just felt like "meh".
None of them really pop for me as anything special.
From a skills standpoint I'd rate them all at about a 5 or a 6 out of 10 at best, doesn't show any real variation with tiles and the carpet/floors is pretty boring.

Hm yes, as you can see in the 3rd one there isn't much tile variation on floor.

But I just gave up half way through I guess.

Hrm...There seems like a lot of negative space in the center. =/ They are really "open"...Tables or chairs or graphics maybe..

1: 7/10
2: 8/10
3: 7/10

dont use the same thing all over the level, put little differences here and there like your use of the hedges on the walls, also add more detail to flooring

1. 5/10
2. 4/10
3. 3/10

Simply to big and waste-full. Rooms have no feel.

Look like N-Pulse levels :o

Level 1: 6/10

Level 2: 4.5/10

Level 3: 3.7/10

3 needs more content.

If you come to the forums expect critisizm. Some of these guys (And the occasional girl) are the best on the game, if you ask for a review, don't expect them to hold all punches, accept their crits and learn from them, they know what they're talking about.

If those -are- your levels, VT, talk about it over PM or something, without spamming the thread, even if the first one was information for everyone.

And yes I also "lol'd" at that quadruple post. You won't make many friends around here with attitude like that. All you're asking is for your thread to be closed or your posts to be deleted.

Actually, I was just being mischeivous.

I don't think the center point of posting levels relates to "making friends." I don't see why you are telling him any of this as it is not needed. The thread shouldn't be closed because there is no reason for it to be closed.

As for the levels, someone mentioned negative space above. Usually in the case of negative space I would compliment it, but the negative spaces don't have a particular pattern or symmetry (excluding your first one) to them. However to simplify things, the levels are decent but really could use a good amount of improvement and detail (and more unique tiling).

My Rating:
7/10 - Not bad at all, however it is still average comparing to many other levels.
4.5/10 - I am not very fond of this level. Something really seems to distract me.
5/10 - Same as above, but the big amount of room for the player to walk doesn't bother me as much.

then it's not to critical at all if you are to lazy to do it.
and I rather be stright with people than lie. take it or leave it.

1. protagonist was acclaiming ownership rights of the levels I created, whether it was to be a plain idiot or he was actually stating he believed they were his levels.

2. I don't know about you, but i'm not really here to make friends. My social life beyond the computer is active enough as it is.

3. If I didn't like criticism I wouldn't create this thread, I just like a reason behind the criticism.

Im guessing the use of "lol'd" is use because he is not writing some college essay and doesnt care to use perfect english on a fourm that doesnt require it.

but no on the serious note the levels are pretty empty, one is out perspective, and everyone has seen somthing like it before.

Well, for one, I never said anything about making friends, I just told him that he should expect critisizm if hes coming to the forums, and to learn to expect it rather than jumping down peoples throats.

I also said that, in light of Forum Mods closing -every thread- nowadays for stupid reasons, something such as quadruple posting is asking for deleted posts and/or closing of threads. I never said I thought it should be closed so jesus christ shut your mouth.
Read the post, understand the post, then if you have something that's not just output of your idiocy to say, say it.

Fine! without oppinions, the world would be tasteless. So I guess I gotta work on floor detail and spice up the room features.

you're asking to be critiqued...we do the same thing in all my design classes. It's just people's opinions. You can take em or brush em off. Again-They are just people's suggestions, opinions, and comments.
