...when looking for me on Graal/on the forums.

All the time I have Era players log on to Maloria or Zone (the servers I work on), and they ask me "Gambet from Era?", and I'm just thinking "What the heck do you mean Gambet from Era?"

Turns out, some kid with the account Gambet1337 also uses my name, Gambet, and he plays Era. He created a forum account today on the forums, so I figured I'd make this thread.

When trying to distinguish all of the other Gambets from me, simply check my account name. My account name is and shall always be (unless I say different) Gambet. So, if you see someone with the name *Gambet or that has Gambet in it, and their account name is Gambet, then it's me. If they don't, then it's not me.

I just posted this so that if any other players that like using my name get in trouble for something, that I won't get blamed for it in the end.

EDIT: To the three feebleminded individuals below me: Have someone check the IP's of both of our accounts, our computer ID's, and just about anything else you want so that I can just smile at you when you realize your accusations are about as valid as Michael Jacksons' ethnicity :). I made this thread so that I don't get blamed for anything that Gambet1337 does. If he makes some great accomplishments, then it aint me. If he messes up, then it aint me.


EDIT #2: I have my reasons for posting this, you don't need to be such pricks about it. Just take it into account and forget about this thread. I've been blamed for a lot of negative things on Graal that I've never done.

I've registered my account long before he has, so you may want to re-think that statement. The X-Men characters' name is Gambit, not Gambet, so the only explanation is that he chose to mimmick me, or was just bored or something. Think a bit, will ya?

You don't see me warning people that there are other people named Vincent and telling them not to confuse them with me so I don't get blamed for things they do.

Just so you know, I've used this handle for a very long time...But I fully understand that I stole it from a Final Fantasy and therefore I never complain when there are 12 other Cids on a single server. (I did steal it from the Cid in FF4 in like 1994 though, so I'm way cooler then all those "Cid Highwind"s out there.^^) Lol.

How many other Sky's are there out there? Probably alot more then "Gambets".. I mean you don't see me going "wtf you stold my name!!! :(!"

Must be hard being as important as Gambet, all these imposters, I can can't believe how you manage to live with them.

For the sole fact that you Graalians never change is why I made this thread. You're all quick to point the finger and quick to make assumptions. When it comes down to something serious going down, you all act like a bunch of children.

EVERYONE, I'm sure, would like to be known by their own identity, and not mistaken for someone else. I'm pretty sure Gambet1337 would like to be known by his own identity as well. It must've just been a coincidence when he registered that new account name, but whatever his reason may be, he probably just wants to have his own reputation and have it not mistaken with anyone elses.

So, honestly, you can all say whatever you want from me. I expect nothing less then bashing from some of you. Then you all wonder why the admins can't even give us a small section of the forums to ourselves? You can't even act like adults in a simple thread like this, imagine a multitude of threads.

Anyways, I've played this game long enough to have grown friends and enemies. It would be nice if the newer players got that same priviledge, instead of being constantly mistaken for someone else. Check accounts names, I mean, they show up when you go to PM someone anyways, so you might as well check.

I think he wants your identity, and he wants to take your reputation and ruin it.. trust me :O

Thus making this thread not pointless and a legitimate thread (which I already thought it was), but then gets hijacked by the others and turned into spam central.

Perhaps Gambet you should put something in your signature like "I am not Gambet1337" or something (perhaps might cover the forums) Good thread, i'm sorry what the others did too it though :/

Oh, my mistake. How very benevolent of you. I forgot that this disambiguity is the cornerstone of enjoyment on Graal: if you play Graal, especially if you're new, make sure that nobody thinks you're Gambet.

That's came into my mind aswell :)
