Main Island Market Stands

If people have problems when they set their items on display on the trade table, with "noobs" not getting off the table. Instead of having to display items on the trade table, staff should make shops in each of the towns with market stands in them so people could advertise their "1337" items , and charge a tax for displaying them. instead of the player buying the item for plat. Players should be able to make an offer on that item somehow. When the player comes back to check on the item he/she can view the results of all the offers. If a player becomes inactive or doesn't check his/her item within so long, say three days, the item is placed back on that players account. This would help the complaining about "this noob won't get off my table when I display my items for trade.

Sounds like a pretty cool idea all around. Make it possible to place offers with items, diamonds, plats, etc. Perhaps the seller could place a minimum bid price so that noobs cant go up and be like "I offer 1 silver coin for yer sam boots lawlawl". Would perhaps need a pricing set for most items officially somewhere, if for no other reason other then setting minimum standards of say "500 diamonds". Then if every item in the game has a set value, you could offer an RoW and it would register as "500 diamonds", thus meeting the minimum.

Do you know how arbitrary those numbers are?

Think before you post next time.

Sounds interesting but the market stands are plat only and no items. I can already hear the complainments "He bought my item but I didn't want him to buy it!" :)

But the idea is not bad.

I suggested something like this a while back, where people could put their stuff on a market stand with prices in plat or dias, but it might actually just be better to restructure bomb trade to have more trade tables.

instead of using actual market stands could the scripting be changed so that the item stays there and just offers can be made, (eg, I have my Hammer of might up there, I read the list. someone offers Sam boots and Dual Row. someone else offers 1000 diamonds). when the person that put the item on the stand comes and gets the item he see's all the offers and has to take the item to the person which he liked the offer. Just for selling purposes, not the actual exchanging of items. The people would have to actually make the trade on the tables. This would definately help out on the complaining of bomb trade and people interrupting trades.

Was this aimed at me? If you read what I said and think through, it doesnt really matter if its extremely accurate or not, just accurate enough to set a minimum bid. Just because an RoW may fluctuate in value between 500 and 600 diamonds doesn't matter, the point is its a great deal more then 1 silver coin. Sam boots are also worth considerably more then 1 RoW anyways, but by setting a minimum you weed out stupid noobish bids. I don't know, the point is, the numbers can be arbitrary...as long as their in the ballpark of the realistic values.

Thats all fine and dandy for all crappy items, but when start looking at better items, things can go from 3 to 7 RoWs, depending on who you talk to.

And anyway the trading system is comepletely fine. The only thing that would be nice is a trades forum here

More tables and/or trade forums.. >_<

I getcha, but you could just set like a "maximum minimum" of one RoW. Even if you're selling something for 3 RoW, a 1 RoW offer will obviously be atleast partially serious and probably wont be just to overload the logs and piss off the seller.

But yeah, trades forum would be neat, and would probably get alot of the kingdoms players more active on the forums.

Just a few things.

If noobs on the tables are bothering you use a different trade house. I like the idea of a trade forums. Not everyone wants to hang around the tables all day looking for items.
