I'm tired of waiting

Ok Stefan, during Christmas you told us you guys were working on a new map. During January you said it'd be released within the next three weeks...now it's march almost april. We need something new. Zone is fun only when there are updates, it's not like kingdoms where you can go around for like 7 months w/o an update before you get bored. You also said some of the weapons i'd done would be released with the map, and that you were going to fix the sniper rifle...we still haven't seen/heard of any progress on these things. Why did you guys annouce to everyone that we'd have updates and then you don't even work on them...Vulcan's the only one that i ever see on that could be working but he's usually on era as well, and i doubt he's working on something for Zone if he's on Era x_x I think the following needs to be done.
  • The Sniper Rifle needs to be released, Me and others have bought out complete ammo for it, and can't use it.
  • The Guild Wars map needs to be released
  • The Flames and other effects, like explosives and hopefully some of the plasma bullets, need to be replaced by the particle things.
  • We need new weapons released...i no i've made like 6 or 7 that could be put in pretty fast...
  • Just a suggestion but maybe add to iracia the snowfall that Graal Kingdoms had over Christmas.
  • Let the trials have there Tags back. There's no point in haveing a Guild Wars Map if everyone that's playing is in every guild...Since theres only a few p2p's that acctually play Zone, since most go to GK or some other server...And they'll still have the -20 hp thing so there still gonna have a setback...

That's all i can really think of right now...The point is we need something new...Graals getting VERY boring. :frown:

Googi 03-20-2006 01:58 AM

You know that the hard part of making weapons is scripting them, not making GFX, right?

SayianOozaru 03-20-2006 02:08 AM

I doubt it takes 4 months. Think next time goog

Zulu15 03-20-2006 03:27 AM

Word, instead of releasing allot of stuff every 2 years, maybe you should try to release small things every 2 weeks or so.

anubis_wing 03-20-2006 03:36 AM

Stefan doesn't really have much interest in Zone it seems. I think that Zone to him is just a little project he can work on when ever he feels like it. I mean he does all this stuff for other servers but nothing really for Zone.

VulcanP2P 03-20-2006 03:41 AM

The project has not been forgotten. Stefan needs to script the new weapons and the new map and it will be done. He has been preoccupied with some other things though. He's planning to do it as soon as he gets the chance.

A combination of about eight to nine weapons, a new map that includes a lava cave, and the scripting involved in it that probably would for just one guy.

Admins 03-20-2006 04:09 AM

We had a lot of updates on Graal Kingdoms, also we are trying to continue the Graal3D project. Zone will get some updates soon, I am sorry for letting things go slow.

If they had, it wouldn't still have its own little box on the server list, would it?

MisterMastermind 03-20-2006 05:37 AM

What I find funniest about this, apppearantly it's spring and the christmas trees are still up along with the christmas cookies. In my opinion you just need to hire more coders so that you can spend time on your own server. Graal kingdoms seems liek the kind of server you can leave alone for about a year without updates and still have the same amount of loyal players. Zone on the other hand gets boring after you try out and get a few kills with every weapon. Most of the players stick around because they're good here and liek to hang out or they just want to win event weapons before quitting.

So do it yourself. Or ask for some scripting staff to be hired.

What an ignorant statement.

We've already ask for more staff to be hired, but haven't got an answer...plz read the other threads before posting about something...or if you going to post here at least keep up to date with the threads. x_x

How so? I simply told goog that i doubt it'd take 4 months to make the things, and next time to read the post more carefully.

SayianOozaru 03-20-2006 07:46 AM

Sry for the double post but other things that need to be fixed are:
  • The Ice Cannons need to be disabled in the Drop Ships.
  • You guys need to fix the glitch with walking in and out of a building alot to get in the black part of the building
  • The unlimited ammo glitch (where you quickly switch between proxi's and some other weap and if you do it right you don't lose any ammo)

i'll post more when i find them/remember them...

darknesskido 03-20-2006 11:32 AM

thats telling them sayian, Zone is starting to become a drag, and a touch repetative, We could use updats soon, and to add to sayians list:-
Spar needs to be replaced as the current 1 cant handle more than 5 people without lag, and then u just end up out in space when you die, that is very annoying, and we need some tag team spar rooms :)

Crono 03-20-2006 11:53 AM

You're lucky Graal even updates. When's the last time you saw CS updated? Or any other MMO? They're just minor things like maybe 1 new map or 5 new monsters etc. Graal is constantly changing, including Zone.

I've alreayd heard of new weapons + maps, they just need scripting/whatever and they're finished. Patience <3

darknesskido 03-20-2006 01:04 PM

yea, i suppose the longer it takes the better the quality..i hope. right?

MisterMastermind 03-20-2006 03:05 PM

Or stefan went out partying and forgot all about us. ='(

worst mmo ever = maple story

had to say

and i just realized how much stefan works with, WOW, i wont be complaining anymore =/

however, i do agree with hiring more people, i mean...its kinda needed

and as for something new, how about events team do some like spar planet events...instead of always death match...

or maybe an iricia event where the team who wins the event round gets idk...200 bucks each or something to that effect

each planet can be used as an event, death match is probably my favorite planet so i dont mind doing events that way, but you could broaden them

un and n-pulse do like at least 30 events a day, and they give out ep/ec which gets to be amazing, and i dont really hear anyone complain there, this statement is kinda pointless but helps a little give the idea out

giving out like some money or ammo or something is just...pety in zone, its the win of the event players will be looking for ^^

more events would lessen the complains

Crono 03-20-2006 06:47 PM

Too many events sucks. In my opinion big events should be hosted every saturday and maybe every 3-4 months there's a big event (for example player vs staff, serious guild wars, etc.)

darknesskido 03-20-2006 06:53 PM

seriose guild wars, have we ever had em? i want some.

We do need another players vs staff or a serious guild wars, the problem is there's no two guilds who truly hates another one enough to lame them into submission and don't have a member in both.

SayianOozaru 03-21-2006 12:52 AM

i no...that's why everyone's been suggesting trials get there tag back x_x

But the trials would just be nice and go into everyguild they can get their non-paying hands on.

not really, trials only join guilds they are attracted to or are accepted into by skill

they dont just join every guild and if they do, oh well, we, the vips, paid for the guilds, its our decision who really should and shouldnt be let in ^^

and if its SOOOO big a problem, give a limit, shouldnt be too hard

back on topic, i like the events thing in a certain time, but time zones would be affected

key thing here though is, more events = less complaining

Not really. The more events the more people who will get mad they lost and "quit" or the more common the events items will be, they are in my opinion WAY TO COMMON. When I started I think maybe 4 people had reapers and that was it. It was basically a symbol of power. Now it's just a symbol that nobody good was on so you fluked out. I suggest the idea of more explosive and cash matches.

SayianOozaru 03-21-2006 05:50 AM

I talked with Stefan for a breif minute earlier on Zone, and he's told me that the map has been finished and will be playable soon :D i just hope it's by the weekend...and hopefully maybe some weapons :D

re-read what i said, i said cash/ammo prizes -_- lol (including bombs)

Well you said the key thing here is more event = less complaining. People are going to complain any chance they get. The only thing I suggest is to not hold event any random weekend that ET's feel they should. A schedule would be nice, also don't allow runner-up's to gain the prizes. Most of the runner up's won by running until the winner killed all but them then they ran over to show they were last without items and they got it. Running like a coward takes nowhere as near as much skill as actually winning fairly. Somebody can get any event weapon they want if they know the right people.

geh, zones in a weird state

i know how that is too, wen i was a trial i was in an event for reapers, 1 of the 1st reapers events, and i killed LITERALLY 16 people, some 3 times at once, im not gloating im gettin to my point that angered me

the LAST guy was hiding, i found him and we faught, i ran outta bullets from all the fights i was in (keep in mind im a trial) and i had no meds

so i had about 26 hp, fighting a dude with full hp and i had no ammo, so i used crossbow, hit him 5 TIMES, he killed me, won em, and said he owned me

i hate arrogant people, but ya the only weapon i ever wanted...i shoulda had....

so i know what you mean =/

geh but cash/bomb prizes (which i still havent recieved my 50 pipebombs from the event i just won lol) is fine with me

My schedule is simply this. I host fun events on weekdays that have no prizes, I anounce prized events 2 hours in advance on weekends. Simple as that.

anubis_wing 03-22-2006 11:01 PM

Can this thread be closed it is not appropriate. Guild Wars will be released when it is released stop making threads and learn to wait, and don't say "Well we have waited" that's too bad all servers wait for updates ours just gets them less frequently and making threads won't help neither will spamming Vulcan via pm (believe me it doesn't help). Also another reason to close this thread is that we have gone severly off topic his is supposed to be about being tired of waiting but the topic now has virtually no irrelevance to the original topic so if this forum could be closed it would be nice.

SayianOozaru 03-23-2006 12:46 AM

ur wrong anubis :P i posted this and THE NEXT DAY i talked to Stefan and he told me he finished the map :D

anubis_wing 03-23-2006 01:01 AM

I see, so close this thread and we'll move on.

Then find 1 free hour of your "busy day" and tell us in advance.

SayianOozaru 03-23-2006 02:09 AM

i won't have busy days for awhile...til next wensday(unless ur counting weekends)...the friend i go to the gym with got a tat so he can't work out...and im not goin by myself lol...but uh you could 'make a list' but it isn't nessasary...it might be helpful to those who are 'zone craved' could get up early to try a shot at an event...of course i'd rather sleep in :P or events could be held at 7/8 pm est so that everyone has a chance at the event and not just the people who wake up early...

jkool666 03-23-2006 07:22 AM

We also froget not everyone lives in the same time zones as us. I remember for Ace to get to an event he would need to stay up to all hours of the night. Maybe this time zone factor can be taken into consideration before events are hosted...
