A cool server idea, odd one

ok, by reading the thread name, your probably thinking, "Ugh whatever, another noob thinking he has a good RPG idea but its probably been done loads of times before".

Well this has'nt been done before, a 2D platform fighter, like street fighter angle.
I thought people could fight and when they win buy upgrades, team fights, exp levels to access to new weaponry and moves and so on.

If people take interest in the idea i might start developing it, shouldnt be too hard to create a basic base and slowly add items.

Later added this to the thread ^_^

I've had this in my mind since 2002. I wanna see it done.

Maple Story.

Nothing like maple story, before you try and make smart small comments, backup what your saying, I SAID STREET FIGHTER!
Night.

Somebody made a comment in that gaming thread where we were chatting about smash, some crack about starting a server based on smash. I personally thought it would be neat but would take some serious scripting. Might be cool.

Soulblade, myself, and a few others attempted this once. It is hard to make a whole served sidescrolling like that, but if you can do it then I would play it.

Too-raa-eeh for Soul Blade/Calibur series.

I dont know that makes me laugh.

It would be a cool idea but, can you find enough people on graal who would be willing to work on this? :frown:

Scripting - Yen, id whip him into doing it.
Graphics and levels, myself, doesnt require much
ganis, err me and whoever else wants to ^_^

I got it thought out :P

Ok well check this out, alright.

One person can not do all that scripting, hell, yen works like "Everywhere" even places he dosent know/remember (Read that post by Massokre asking yen to come back on classic RC and he is like "wut, i work there?")

It sounds like you plan on doing a two person server, good luck with that, ^^

Tom 03-20-2006 01:11 AM

lol I forgot to add " and anyone else who would like to help"
And if Yen does help, like im sure he will even if he says otherwise on the forum, hed be making the scripts and most likely being bored and leaving or staying to develop. If i didnt think Yen would help i wouldnt lean the scripting into his direction.

Also, its not alot of more of how i have it planned.

CidNight1142 03-20-2006 02:50 AM

The ganis would be really important, get some good gani artists for this to be successful id say.

Tom 03-20-2006 12:52 PM

I dont actually know many people good at Ganis, except Hachi who most probably wouldnt want to help.

Started the graphics for the server already :)
