This is beginning to annoy me.

The totally blindsided perception of laming: A technique that kills you over your uber l33tomgwtfhax skillz so therefore the person who utilizes it is homosexual.

Chaingun is not lame. kv9 is not lame. anything rifle + strafing is not lame. g18 is not lame. mortars are not lame. Anything you think is lame, either doesnt exist, or isnt lame.

Why? Because it's your own stupid fault for not being "l33t" enough to avoid it, or you're so clouded by your own skill that you fail to see the 6 pixels that cause your demise and your loss of 128721728 bounty. Or in the case of spawn killing, it's your own fault for spawning there, so stop whining.

It's true people need to grow up not only is it a "game" but when a tiny little bullet kills you and you spaz out it's blowing it out of proportion. Also so what if you lose your bounty it's a game. Here's an example of what happens
Scenario:
Jak has a super high bounty of 2100
Jo sees Jak's bounty Jo says "Oooooh shiny" and kills Jak
Jak comes back and says "Zomg u r such a newb l4m3r u should die"
Jo looks at Jak laughs and says "Grow up"
Jak says "Omg u r such a hacker Ima get the globals 2 ban u"
Globals response to Jak "Go rape a donkey"
The End

yea anubis, u really put that into porportion, the only way something is tryly lame, is when there NO way to stop it, such as mortar laming bases, when an explosion is near the ladder of the base, no one can get off, and the mortar ends up killin them, thats alme :D.

Go rape a donkey. That's stoppable, it cannot cover from bottom to top. If it's blocking the ladders, go north and chaingun them.This kills me alot when I mortar lame xD.

Two things are lame. Glitching so that you hover unable to be hit, and hacking speed/health so that you can't be killed.

Conor hovered and a banned sticker was slapped on his head for 30 days...still going.
Also on Zone there is a anti-trainer program on it, yet it doesn't work for everything. :[

That's too light, this was worse than speed hacking as they can get killed. My solution: ban him for 50 days, erase all his highscores, take away 1000 kills and add 3000 deaths while taking away 20k EXP and all his $ and obtained items, while banning him from events for a year. And never give him a chance to get on highscores board again.

And you can just jetpack while going into the warper; and keep flying; the explosions won't hurt you.

Maybe they can have active stealth that they can activate or infinate jetpack energy no attacking while on tag no going off tag once you go in. I nominate Dark Soul because he's active, not corrupt and smarter than the lot of us.

It's not up to us, and if it was I would vote for Sayian because he has a complete hatred for glitchers. The GP here should be able to ban without warning. When they put on tag going invisible so they aren't seen and the people stop until the GP leaves, and invincible so they dont hit a glitched proxy and go boom. Though they appear on F7 it doesn't show the level.

Sayian however has a tendency to get mad easily so I seriously do not vote for him.

Anyway back on topic, the thing with using the mortar at home bases as they spawn is that 1)It continues until the team doing it gets tired and captures the bases. And also 2)The only way to stop it really is to use the Jetpack. Although in minority, there are still some people who do -not- have a jetpack, and in that case there is no way of stopping it, that's why I personaly call it L A M E.

Though a simple problem like this has a simple solution: Invincibility for a few seconds when you enter the battlefield, this is a wild guess but I'd say around 100% of Zone would, and alredy have agreed that this is a good idea.

How ironic, we do have invincibility the first few seconds. Most of those that do not have jetpack are trials and they are of no concern to us.

trials are of more concern to us then p2p/vips themselves

idk about you but i started off as a trial, if i was getting ripped off so much from things or p2p/vips getting more and more things i would have REFUSED to pay someone for removing so much

as of now...i would have still payed...where zone goes though....ill have to see -_-

They're lame because everybody uses them. They're shotguns in pistols, and are unavoidable, overpowered, and need to be removed. Seeing as they are "it" and anything else is "lame".

Trials don't deserve to get anything really. They're not the ones who payed for the game.

everyone comes as a trial, if not they have others convincing them to be a p2p/vip

in otherwords, trials are basically 1st priority, or should be, to stefan

and i dont respect all the changes done to them

and for zones progress anyway, i had more spots on lists as a trial, if i go through the pictures im sure i can get atleast 10 pictures on stuff like bounty list, grav, etc. and im on, i believe 1 with my p2p, if not then thats my trial still

progress really hasnt gone anyway in some time...i know things take time but...at this rate ill be voting, maybe shooting in the war (stupid draft might come) until guild wars is out, and i recall that being said quite some time ago

btw when i say trials are 1st priority, i dont mean give them everything, im sure some smart ass would have said somethin to that effect

what i mean is we need to not make them feel so worthless, but give them opportunities to try the things out, even if only to shoot in the dropship or something...and stop taking away from them

Touya no offense but you seriously need to shut up, trials have no place in this discussion and I curse Typhoon for ever bringing them up, although somehow I'm sure you would have managed to find a way.

None of you are really getting the concept of laming, first of all, Jin, you sound like a Newb Judge in the court of law, there are always special circumstances which need to be considered, for example: "A man rapped and killed his 4 year old daughter" What's his sentence? Life in prison or death, easy. But: "Man rapes and kills his 4 year old daughter while under the influence of a perscribed drug."

Anyway, yeah, just because the rule of "No weapon is lame if it's availible to everyone" applies most of the time, it dosen't work here. The ApPirces are too powerful, public or not, they are one of the weapons that make the game un-fun. Why? Because everyone uses them and those that do (everyone) consider any weapon that is more powerful under certain circumstances, "lame", which they are not most of the time.

Appiereces are almost as bad as AWP'ing in CS:S, cept people dont despise AWP'ing in Zone, they accept it as a sparring default here.

I agree with Zulu. Entirely. Appierces are overpowered, even with the damage nerf, and have set a simple weapon stereotype. Nobody uses anything besides appierces or the equiviliant if they know how to use them. It'd warm my heart to see people using neglected weapons such as stormrifle (which is incredibly good by the way) and that people'd remove the "lame" stereotype for kv9 users. It's not arnt fault you arent leet enough to avoid them..

I've said it once, i'll say it again. Mortars are NOT lame. It's your own fault for spawning where the shell lands, not them.

Yes, they are a bit overpowered but with the V4 only thing coming into effect it will greatly increase the amount of skill neccisary to use appirces to their full extent. Possibly increase the amount of rifle users. (:))

Wonderful. I find strafing matches much more amusing than running around someone in a square while shooting them with mini shotgun thingies.

Hmm... Supprising as when I log on I get about 10 people yelling, "Yippy, Jesse's here." And not to mention I've been playing zone longer then ya ;). How can you not know me, I've been posting on these forums longer then you and while you have been in the same threads. And see my sig? The orange Jesse thing? And I am right a gun isn't lame if everyone has the right to use it... So the only lame weapons are redrifle, bluerifle, laserforce, reapers, magnums, redpistols, bluepistols, and every grenade. :)

That would also make all P2P's lame seeing as some trials can't afford it, also making all guns besides the infinite ammo weapons seeing as P2P's have the extra ammo, right?
