Rar :D I hope you guys think it looks good.

VulcanP2P 03-13-2006 02:29 AM

Reminds me of Harvest Moon for some reason. Cool.

Zero Hour 03-13-2006 02:37 AM

Nice, but you need to dull up the floors tiles - they draw the attention away from the main items.

Infernix 03-13-2006 03:42 AM

lol now if this isnt stolen from some snes game and you actually complete it. Ill certainly call to "The Pixel god named Tom"

Elk 03-13-2006 01:50 PM

i dont like the floor but its good.

GoZelda 03-13-2006 05:22 PM

Thank God the floor's not finished.

Elk 03-13-2006 08:15 PM

but still there are some errors in the bed

Tom 03-13-2006 11:59 PM

Thanks for the replys, and dont worry, its not stolen lol. All my proud work, Elk, could you possibly point out the errors on the bed.

I get what you mean about the floor, i will dumb it down a bit :D Every crit helps to making this all better.

Akoalin 03-14-2006 12:05 AM

I think darker outlines on the furniture would make everything seem less....floaty.

Zero Hour 03-14-2006 12:06 AM

I would use the darker outlines to define the areas which are currently quite flowing... when they shouldn't be. The top of the bed, the doors on the shelfs... that sort of stuff :)

Tom 03-14-2006 12:28 AM

Updated version coming soon :D

xAndrewx 03-14-2006 09:01 AM

Tom, try to keep things bright, you can give the dull effect from the seteffect feature. It looks cool though :)

Crono 03-14-2006 09:55 AM

I don't like the floor, apart form that it's *****.

Elk 03-14-2006 04:27 PM

i think it looks better if its like that

http://img158.imageshack.us/img158/941/tom2aq.jpg
but still you need to do the floor

Tom 03-14-2006 07:28 PM

Having a bit of trouble with the floor.

CidNight1142 03-14-2006 07:30 PM

Wow...very nice. <3 the carpet/stairs.

Codein 03-14-2006 07:34 PM

I've noticed you've totally forgotten shadows under the furniture. This is probably the reason why I think the funiture is floating.

Tom 03-14-2006 07:36 PM

Well i would if it was one alone piece, but its going to be turned into a tileset, and i cant even do the floor well yet, so how can i do shadows ;)

.. he might just have a very translucent light source that covers the entire room ;). The shadows aren't that relevant right now.

Tom, don't make me praise you for these graphics i'v already used the g word in a post today (good) and it would kill my ego to use it again so... OMG ITS FANTASTIC

Tom 03-14-2006 08:28 PM

rofl thanks xD
I think if i create a variation of floor boards, then it will look less... repetative.

Zero Hour 03-14-2006 09:43 PM

Hands down, that's dead sexy - Tom.

But there's some issues you need to fix. Perhaps you can contact me on AIM and we can work a little on it, if you're interested in me helping.

Androk2 03-15-2006 12:58 AM

Wooden floors are very tough to do along with wooden furniture. You seem to have done it fairly well though =)

xAndrewx 03-15-2006 09:06 AM

Looking hot =D

alarid0 03-15-2006 08:53 PM

I never spoke up before...so I guess it's time I say something.

First off.. I love the carpet :D especially on the stairs, it looks really good.

I don't like the shading on the wood, though, it seems awkward.

With the Shelves...
The bottom part of it looks great, but on the shelves themselves it doesnt look right. The broken black line makes it look grainy and wierd.. mostly because its so dark along the line and then not any darker right above it. It should be darkest right below where it turns to the next shelf...a fade to dark brown as the shelf goes further in with black pixls on either corner where it would be darkest.
Also on the shelf the outlines are broken. Keep theblack linel throughout the whole outline

Again, keep a solid color outline and I think it would turn out better. If you don't want black, just chose another darkish color. (with the bed, the table, and the chairs). Also, some points seem like they could use another color to AA the work a little. The wood could use one more color for the woodgrain texture (you currently use 1 for it) And the bed...maybe one more would help, but I don't know...The Bed pillow and sheets just seem like they could use something.

AlexanderK 03-16-2006 05:05 PM

Naw, I see where you're coming from, it almost seems like the angle is a bit off. And it may be, but I can't think of any way to make it better and it seems to me thats the way stairs always look in the SNES style sets.

GoZelda 03-16-2006 07:34 PM

There's something odd about the chairs but I can't put my finger on it.

coreys 03-16-2006 07:48 PM

damn sexy, cept the white part of the sheets and the pillow on the bed look really...weird...like someone messed with the contrast too much

Luda 03-16-2006 08:50 PM

You need a woodstove! that would be cool

That's a pretty cool idea... however I think he shouldn't add too much more or it will become overcrowded.

Tom 03-16-2006 09:35 PM

When it's finished, and after some really helpful pointers from Zero it will be just awesome, then if someone wants it, ill give it to them to use for a server and turn into a tileset.

What nooooo, I thought you were using it for a server :frown:

Myomoto 03-16-2006 10:03 PM

Looks really nice, but poor guy who had to make bodies for a server with those tiles, that'd take ages :D
