PMs don't disappear when person logs off
 

Person should go to an "offline" list on the playerlist if their PM is still unread. Similarly, the PM could be automatically saved to the person's computer so that next time they log on, if they did not read it, the PM would show up on the playerlist under "missed" PMs or something, giving the person the date and time it was sent.

Lots of messages go unread because of being kicked offline and things like that. This should not occur.

You mean not only keep the pms when the other person logs out, but also when yourself logs out and some pms are still unread ?

On v4, when someone sends a private message and logs offline, it does go into the "Offline" section of the list?

Yea. It'd be nice if they actively stayed there, even if I switch servers or something.

Would be cool to have some sort of inbox. Sort of like Yahoo! Messenger has. Though it should be public, locked to buddies, or some sort of option so there is no spam.
