I will be finished with this Graal Online. Stefan cant run a business properly it seems. The globals he hires are young people, some of them manage to mispell words in their posts or when they are chatting. They don't know what they are doing, they don't care, they are working for free. The forum super admin Moonie doesnt care either, apparently 5 months isn't long enough for a ban where I posted on two other forum usernames to post after a first initial ban. You would think I spammed tubgirl and goatse pictures all over the forums. You can't make a post about a concern, the rules are like clay to the moderators of the forums.

Stefan: If you're going to give people a lot of power, make sure you pay them money so they don't abuse it. This is peoples money here, people pay you money to develop content for you, to generate revenue, and what do you show for it? You hire incompetent people and pay them nothing, and this causes plenty of trouble for all of us, if we're lucky, we can not have to pay any money for developing content for you. Why should I continue to help fund such a horribly run game? Why should I pay for half of the service I should be getting? The staff feel superior obviously, they can easily fix issues as soon as they pop up, what can easily be fixed in 10 minutes to an hour usually takes weeks to handle.

From the 4 years i've been scripting on graal, and the 6-7 years i've been a player of it, i've seen it go downhill. From the time when Houdini wouldn't let me ban players who were stealing our graphics, and removed me from staff for preventing him from unbanning them, to a global PWA trying to steal a server, and the moderators doing whatever they want, banning people who they disagree with, as well as closing threads they disagree with. Why is this a family oriented forum in which people can talk about homosexuality? Thats not very family oriented, and yet people are permitted to advertise these things in their signatures.

I'm done with your game, tired of the corruption, the large volume of idiots in this game. The Global Administrators fight amongst themselves, and Stefan sits by coding away.

When Icarus is done, I will stay for a while, make sure everything is running smoothly, set up some global events from time to time, and then I will leave your game, I will go on to make my own, and madj may come with me as well.

Go ahead and close this, just prove what i've said about you forum administrators true. Call it some rule infraction, say its directed at one person, but it is directed to all Graal Players, its directed to all administration, its directed at everyone.

Im not banned on the forums, or atleast I don't believe so. About probably half a year ago i tried to post on the forums, but I had norights. Recently, maybe the day after christmas my gold time ran out, about a month later I baught the Gold/VIP subscription. Right away I tried to post on the forum again but the same thing happens,it says "You may not bla bla bla, ETC" I would like to get what I've paid for an all my rights please.

First of all Andy0687 I would miss Mad, and second no body cares what you have to say because you are not even considered a prominate member of the community anymore. Also, the servers Madj had owned in the past have been very successful, believe it or not...

Era has Stefan’s help because it is a gold server, common sense there, and it also has Stefan’s help because it was the first modern server to pass all regulations to become classic. Era's been around for many years and its an original server, we are probably 3 months old now, if even, and that is why we may not have Stefan's help.

Also, why the hell are you still playing if kids piss you off, the vast majority of this game are kids, deal with it.


Now for my opinion:
What I think is wrong is that Graal rips a lot of people off. Nearly all of the staff on this game don't get paid, yet they are the ones keeping this server up... in fact, it’s just the opposite. The staff of this game has to pay the creators to keep their server up, which in return attracts more players and gives the creators more cash. It’s a big waste of money and the only one that profits are the creators. This is why G and Madj are leaving, and I am probably going with.

I think you are the owner of this server in question right? With incompetence the size of yours running the server, i doubt it would have been successful anyways for very long (Or any server you run for that matter, i dont care).

Why do you think era is classic again and this server isnt? Era had stefans help, you dont.

I don't think it's necessarily fair to say that everyone is incompetent. I will not disagree 100% in saying that there are/were no members of the global community that did not deserve their positions, but you do get what you pay for and that is the truth. I will admit that there are times that I slacked off and stopped putting as much time into it because of constraints in my life and needing to pay my tution bill instead of spending gross amounts of time on something that was purely volunteer. I did it because programming was fun and it was nice to be able to help others out and get started learning to program. The status quo does need to be changed if the game is to continue to succeed and perhaps grow, but it's been known for quite some time that reform is needed. As far as making typos and spelling errors, I don't think that is really a display of incompetence, just of being human. Usually customer service should have "proper grammar and spelling", but when you're dealing with unpaid employees, fixing a small spelling error I don't think is that big of a deal.

Also, Icarus will most likely get finished. I have study hours 2 hours a night for my fraternity, meaning that David has 2 hours a night of free time to code :)

That wasnt my point, i do not doubt in any way shape or form that they would be able to finish it. Madj's graphics are simply amazing, and im sure that they have some amazing scripters and level makers to compliment the great tileset and ideas.

The premace behind my posts was that without support, you wont get anywhere. I have seen some Great servers up and die because they just cant get the support behind them to make the move.

The fact that you may include yourself in helping might help them as far as having a known member on their team.

That is all I was refering to, the OP was posting negitave towards one of the big two on this game (Stefan) therefore it is only likely that everyone who stefan supports will support him (thus starting a chain of negitivity).

Glad they do, good thing I'm 22 and a year away from graduating with a double major in business marketing/management, and have already been recommended for the Fulbright. Incompetence could easily be defined to include people that assume and make false statements. I'm not going to question your competence because I don't know you, so... good job. Let me ask you something though, what would be the number one way to learn from your customers and how they feel about your business? If you said listening to their suggestions and complaints, you're correct! Thus, if this isn't what is taking place on the forums, he's right.. the business is out of line. On the whole support deal, if thats your point.. then its a good one and I agree. I hate seeing awesome servers fall into the void because it doesn't catch the right global's eye or something of the sort. I agree wholeheartedly. I don't think it's fair to call everyone in the global community incompetent, unless you know each and everyone of them enough to make that judgement. Even so, that is your own opinion. Personally, I think there are many competent global personnels, although some we can do without. I'd like to see GraalOnline's old hiring practices brought back (meaning making use of the forums so that the entire community can choose who should be a global). Mistakes are a part of being human, and when you don't have incentives to correct them, there are bound to be a few here and there.
Anyways, I have seen Icarus and it seems to be a good server and it probably will get finished. Whether or not it will make the classic tab is another question. We already have a gun-theme server, so is there room for another? I guess we'll see when it is finished, but until then, good luck to you.

This is off subject here but, this is one reason graal gets worse is the way stefan runs the bussiness, although its not just that, its suited by html, and that means anyone with the program scripting can hack graal, which means no accounts are safe unless they have special programs, and where do we find those eh? Infact theres a person named CLAYTON APOCOLYPSE on graal, who also has a hacker name of either "Ap3" or "Ape". I do not hate graal but its getting worse, and along with all the staff corruption, someone runs up to a black guy and calls him a (cannot use word on these forums) and then I stand up for him, and i get jailed for sexual harrasment though i said nothing sexual. And then I have to deal with UN's TIME JAIL, which was the worse idea ever. They should do it where they have to like npulses jail or bomy land's jail. In my opinion this makes it impossible to have a safe account, and people are sometimes getting banned for stuff they didnt do, and along with the prices boosting, nobody will join, and people will just quit, so the player ammount will lower quickly, what they need to od is put trials on for 10 days and track the ip adress so each ip adress can only get one trial, then a p2p. Simple as 1,2,1337. And to break it down for retards:

Graal is easy to hax. Staff will ban you for no reason. Graals bussiness is going to an end. Graal isn't worth what it is now.

What the hell are you talking about? Graal account information is held securely on a serverside database, the only way your account will get stolen is if you use hacking programs which are against the rules that generally are made with the purpose and intent to steal other players passwords. Nobody can steal your account unless you do something wrong, even if they have the Graal server and client source code.

In my opinion everyone that makes a post longer than 500 words is so full of him/her self. We all know graal management sucks and yes you have the right to point it out but people forget that graal is the property of Stefan and Unix.. They don't have to do anything aslong as it is a profitable product for them.

Above that, calling the entire global "staff" unfit is rather lame. It's easy to blame people for their mistakes withouth running a mile in their shoe's.

But thats all the time I'm going to waste posting/reading since this thread has a lifespan of about *thinks* 5 hours till Moonie will shut it down.

PS: I don't think anyone actualy cares for the server named Icarus.. nor do they care for most of the UC servers. People mainly play this "game/platform" form the community and not for the sometimes unspeakably horrible content that is located on the UC servers. (Ok UN isn't a picture either.. but they already got their community... so they don't have to care)

I agree, you are right, there are some competent global staff, but there arent many. The only I see online are Malinko, Growlz, CheeTos, Bjorn, and Lance. Bjorn, Lance, Growlz, and CheeTos are awesome.

I would also like to remind you that Stefan doesn't really run Graal. He makes lots of [big] decisions, but he doesn't really run it. He's also human. Graal is also a business.

Well, i have to agree quite alot with Silent here, it does actually make sense, and majority that may disagree are those trying to suck up. I really hope someone reads this post and changes graal.

I believe that players should be able to pitch a server idea, maybe hand Stefan a design doc, and if Stefan likes, he can give them a free server. If players just want a server to screw around on, that has no real purpose, or not enough talent or good enough idea, then make them pay.

Ok, no really... my opinion:
Graal is a rip off. Reasons:
1) It's addicting and it takes life away from many who do not have the strength to pretend it doesn't exsist.
2)Staff usually don't get paid... which is retarted because staff are the ones who keep the game going right? Without staff what would players buy gold or VIP for? Yeah... so like i think anyway that staff should get paid instead of paying to attract more players.
