Grace Bug/Error

I have a maximum grace of 1 and when i pray to my god's altar for double grace, i still had 1 max grace, i even tried using a wis+2 ring then praying at my God's altar and max grace was STILL 1 point, and dont say i need to cast prayers to lvl my grace, because its so low that i cant cast them because my god ignores every prayer i try to cast, you can ask Sam if the above is true, he saw me try and even tried to help

can anyone help me?

Damix2 02-24-2006 11:41 PM

You can't double your grace till a certain level.

Sam 02-25-2006 12:41 AM

How will someone improve his wisdom, if he has wisdom 1 and grace 1?

Damix2 02-25-2006 01:16 AM

He can party with someone to gain levels, improvment potions or wisdom items

Exactly :)

So if I party with someone and they get Wisdom exp I, too, will get wisdom exp?
and for wisdom increasing items, I have proven they do not help in my case, since i cannot get any wisdom exp to begin with..
the dilemma is how do i get wisdom exp without casting prayers?

If you equip wis + items you will gain wisdom points, then you can cast spells. Thats what they meant I think. And yes, the partying thing works like that.

Wrong.

You gain experience depending on skill readied

If you don't know what you are talking about, don't post.

Did you read his post? That's what we talking about: he used a +2 wisdom ring from me and it didn't improve his wisdom, nor praying on an altar does anything!

Zero Hour 02-26-2006 05:17 PM

Yeap, I did.

Sam, when you add stat+ potions to your wisdom, assuming it isn't maxed at 20 (natural) then your grace will go up. The ammount of grace you have is generated by how much wisdom (stat) you have, and then the level of your piety [:

Also, if he parties with people and just prepares piety skills he will get experience if the other members in the party are killing animals using pity skills :) So, this is the second way around the problem. As I said, it's based on wisdom (stat) and then piety level. You could max your wisdom (stat) or level your piety - either one will give you more grace.

So, the solutions we suggested should work :P

But why a wisdom +2 ring dont do anything on him? And why he cannot double his grace on altar?

He may be at such a low, with wisdom, that +2 isn't enough. I bet you a +3 would do the trick though, amusingly enough.

Gotta be level 10 wisdom, or something along those lines, before your grace doubles. :)

Sam 02-26-2006 06:43 PM

Okay. Thanks. It a long time ago since I was that level, I dont remember that.

Well, If he parties with someone and readies a Piety skill (eg Praying), the other person doesn't have to use a piety skill for the experience to go into his Wisdom level. eg the other person could go through and use melee and he will still get wisdom exp for it.

Hmm, pow also affects grace, doesn't it?

What are your natural stats for Wisdom and Power? (/statistics)

His problems are solved. The thread started nearly 4 weeks ago. ^^

Then why was no one clued into the solution of this problem? More people might be experiencing this and instead of making a new thread, perhaps it would help if the answer was in here.

Sam 03-22-2006 05:32 PM

There is one easy way to solve this problem with some improvement potions from magic shops.
