Whatever you call them, when you're inside there's a void past the walls, and people are often outside the walls, how do they get there?

Void is a good term for it. Simply enter/exit the rooms fast enough and you'll get a 'failed' message and you'll be teleported into the black, where you can strafe to move very slightly and mortar everyone to death.

The darkness tiles used for the outside of inside levels has turned green for me. x_x

They're grey for me since I got V.4!

Lol, Dark, they turned green for me too, but only on my computer than runs XP. Weird.
