Bullet range
I believe ive heard this somewere else but im not gonna be arsed to go look up were. I think the bullet range on some or most guns should be lengthend that way it wud be alot more realistic.. I mean a normal gun bullet would go for miles not a few meters. Some of these guns are less realistic like Irpulser so judging by there weird lazery things there bullets should go very far but Apps are full blown handguns they should be able to shoot a hell of a lot further.. Plus it wud make duels so much kewler xD

I never knew Zone's bullets stopped after a certain distance.

in an 800x600 you can shoot appirces and other medium ranged weapons to the end of the screen, I use default settings so the only things that go all across my screens are kv9's and crossbow's...

1.5 levels is far enough.

Hmm well they should lengthen the bullets but things like that can sometimes cause server lag.

Not really.
Zone uses shoot; for it's bullets, and it doesnt create a seperate NPC unless the command itself is amazingly uber spammed in like a .05 timeout, which nobody'd be crazy enough to do. Realisiticly saying, bullets have a range where the force that fired them is worn down by several other factors (gravity, air resistance) and the bullet eventually takes a huge curve to the ground and disappears, shattered by the tension it creates as it hits the rather solid ground. I'm associating a human yard with 1x1 graal tile. Just a plain old, 4 grid standard tile. Providing the bullet/shot goes 1.5 levels, and there's 50 xy in a level, it's traveling around 75 yards before stopping. Increasing the range of that would allow some relocations to be constantly chaingun lamed. You'd have to redesign iricia even if you increased it by just .5 of a level. It's far too much work. Besides the whole client lag issue (the bullet has to go somewhere), it'd cause a lot of strain on who LAT's Zone. Which I think is Vulcan. Not sure. |
