Concerning the New Rule about Giving Thorough Descriptions about your Thread and what

Do you notice the size of my thread name? This would be the estimated size when trying to put every aspect of my ideas into the title.

I'm sure something like "A New Gun Idea" would be good. It's not like people are wondering if the idea's about a chocolate cake. They should read on from there to see what the gun is like.

Nowhere did it say that the thread name had to be a mile long, just more descriptive then just "an idea"

Your thread title is overkill and you know it. Be realistic here...

And the big problem is the fact that people aren't even being as descriptive as 'A New Gun Idea' they're just using things like "just an idea" "Another idea" "my idea" or even just "idea".

What's the point of even naming your threads, Hachi? If I see that you're the author of it (with the exception of this thread) I know that it'll be a good idea and contribute to making Zone a better place. No, I'm not butt-kissing like Zulu, I'm stating facts :/

We can change the thread titles, yes...but why should we cater to members who cannot follow the rules?
I don't mind changing a thread name occassionally, but when people do it continuously (as was happening in the Zone forum), then enough is enough.

Don't go there. I have a 12 year old, and she is perfectly capable of following such simple rules. It is a choice to NOT follow rules, or to not even read them.

like i told you in pms...its not a matter of how simple it is to follow, its in human nature to break rules, im not saying break severe rules/laws, but everyone has broken a rule atleast once...

Hes using a stereotype, though, the wrong stereotype, the people most likely to break rules and talk in 7337 such are 13 year old MALES. Why do they break the rules? Because it's a game, and they are gamers. Why do -I- not choose wisely the name of my thread? Because I know all my ideas will have flaws, and I don't want to seem ****y, also, there are some ideas, which, if you read the tittle, you will be driven away because it does not appeal to you in any way, for example, if I would have named one of my old threads "Laser, Portable Rocket Launcher, and Small Mortar idea" you can be it woulden't have 1/3 of the posts it has now because people in Zone do not like explosive weapons.

Oh and Touya, in another post you said "who cares if they clicked a topic they don't really want to read?" or something along those lines, well, let metell you a little story...

There was once a kid named Billy, now, Billy was a very inteligent person, he had many ideas he wished to share with Zone and he was also good at constructive critisism of other people's ideas. One day, Billy saw a Thread called "Idea", posted by Dante55555, of course, he was interested in it, so he clicked it. To Billy's surprise, the first post on the thread, as in, the thread itself read "u can shove brum stick up u ass" Billy almost cried, not because there was no idea, not because of the low IQ of the other members, but because he had a 13k dial up connection and it had taken him 20 minutes to open that idea, and it will take him 30 more to go back to the forum main page!!

Darlene, just because your 12 year old is intelligent enough to follow rules doesn't mean they all are. Heck some 14-and-up year olds can't even stop talking during presentations that are hard enough to hear anyways.

I would imagine that if your 12 year old was disciplined as you discipline the forums, it would be no surprise that she follows rules :P.

I am not saying she follows every rule, just that she is capable of it...the same as any other 12 year old.
It has little to do with intelligence, and has alot to do with common sense, and attitude.

Ah, many apology. I was misundersanding what you said. I figured by saying someone has the ability, you meant they used it, too. I forgot how often people don't do all they can.
Anyways, if a person has common sense, they are much more intelligence than a person who doesn't.

Common sense and intelligence are two separate things.

That's what im always trying to tell my friends, they say that I'm smart, I'm really not, I'm dumb as hell. But the thing is, I think with logic.
