RC Problem.
 

I'm in dire need of help regarding RemoteControl bug.

Everytime I attempt to connect to a server via RC, it says on the RC chat
"Illegal characters found in the outgoing data" and then I am disconnected.
I've changed my nickname, password, reformatted my computer, etc.
Nothing seems to work, if anyone has any ideas, I could do with them.

Hmm, i've had this happen to me a couple of times today, although it seemed to go away seeing as how after i got the message i just try to connect again and it works. Your trying to connect via RC2, correct?

I've connected via RC2 and RC1, it still does the same thing.

The only time I've ever had that message appear was when I copy and pasted a log from a file for other staff members to see in RC chat. RC doesn't like alt + characters or spacing characters. Really annoying when I'm trying to speak to other staff members and provide some logs but I can't because I will be disconnected/reconnected.

For me, it just reconnects my NC. Still annoying though :O.

I have to admit that it is better than an older RC1 bug that deleted the server options everytime you pasted a wierd character in RC chat. :rolleyes:

Sometimes just NC reconnects, but most of the time I'm completely reconnected to the gserver and npc server.

Have someone give you RC on another server and test it there. Maybe the problem is server specific...

No, my RC was working, then I was globally banned because a global thought I went on an account called "ANTIGRAAL" or something. Then when this mistake was recitified my RC wouldn't work.

I've tried three of my accounts and they all don't work, i've turned off my firewalls and everything, nothing seems to work.

Delete your RClog text file if you save your RC Chat into a text file, if it gets too large it can interferre with your RC. Either that or move the text file to a different location so you can start recording RC Chat again, if that does nothing, I don't know what to tell you.

No, doesn't work. I guess i'm screwed then, thanks for your help anyway.

Me and Matt have been working on it, it appears it's something to do with my Computer ID being banned, if a global could contact me about this ASAP, i'd appreciate it.
