RC2 Disconnect Problem
 

I frequently get disconnected from RC2 if I don't touch the program for a 10 minutes or so. I would minimize it to systray, and upon return it would say "Disconnected from server!"
I'm on WinXP.

Same thing. It doesn't seem to be updating itself when it is on the tray (PMs aren't recieved).

If it doesn't disconnect me, and I open RC, the RC chat is suddenly updated and I get all these older PMs.

I think RC chat is supposed to be updated once it returns to normal mode.

I was about to make a post on this.

It only happens on some servers, for example I lose connection on Delteria after some time, but can idle on Delteria Dev for hours and never lose connection.

Happens to me also. I noticed that after not reading masses from other players after a while will cause the icon in the system tray to stop blinking. Not much longer after that will I get an error and sent to the server list to reconnect.

I have had this problem with development versions of RC2, however, I haven't had this with the released one.

I'm using RC2 2006/01/20 by the way.

Edit: It seems that it is disconnecting when I have it minimized in systrays even when the time period has not been longer than 5 mins (estimated).

I can't seem to edit my post, so I will post new information regarding this problem here:
It seems that RC2 is indeed having trouble updating itself while minimized in systray. I do not receive pms while RC2 is in systray, until I bring it back to the desktop, then all the pms start flashing.

Also using RC2 2006/01/20 on Windows XP (Media Center).

It is as if the RC isn't sending/recieving data when minimized to tray. For example, I'll have the file editor open, and the list of files in a folder won't load until I reopen the main RC window. (Same thing with trying to open scripts).

Well it is supposed to update when maximized but it seems to update really fast then stop connecting with the server it happens mainly on servers that alot of messages are being sent on rc, when on a quiet server my rc does not disconnect. Like I was on maloria i minimize it for a few seconds and disconnects most of the time but if I log on my playerworld there isn't that many people talking and it doesn't. o_O

Happens to me on both RC2 and Graal4. PMs aren't recieved, player movements aren't updated, and I get disconnected (not for inactivity) when Graal4 is in fullscreen mode and I minimize it for too long.

To fix the RC bug, simply launch the Graal client and under the Update tab select RC2 and reinstall it.
