Todays newbie of the moment award goes to SilentBob!

After he attacked me on a horse he failed to kill me and retreated to another screen then relogged on, he then got off the horse and started attacking me but still failed to kill me. He ran in the water and went to Plan C.....Unstick Me.

nO1 03-27-2001 03:34 AM

SilentBob.....a newbie? Ummmmm you're mistaken.......he may of acted like one, mainly because he has alot of cash on him and he don't want to lose it...... :D

Lycia 03-27-2001 03:54 AM

Theres no such thing as newbies and oldbies on G2k1. If that were the case, then I am an oldbie to the server more so than at least 95% of you since I saw the G2k1 server during its beta stages.

Lion'el-Jonson 03-27-2001 07:39 AM

Im a semi oldbie :P, I was playing G2K1 in the times where there were only like 15 people registered. I dont have a lot of onlinetime tho ;P

FatherDante 03-27-2001 07:43 AM

I agree with Lycia. None of us are newbies on 2001 because we all started playing within the first two months of its openning. :)

Lycia 03-27-2001 07:53 AM

Hehe, I consider myself an oldbie. >.<

Nai 03-27-2001 07:55 AM

Right when I got home from the school the day Graal2001 came out I was one of the first on. I remember seeing these Bomys and saying "Wow! This is so cool!".

FatherDante 03-27-2001 07:56 AM

Well, leave it to lycia to have that kind of supremecist attitude!!!!

03-27-2001 07:56 AM

I've played since version 2 out of 42 on newmain, there was almost nothing back then.

FatherDante 03-27-2001 07:59 AM

Alright, that's dandy... but I wish at least that there were no "oldbies"

Nai 03-27-2001 08:00 AM

there cant be right now. We should still wait a few more versions of Newmain.

Yeah, and leave it to you to be annoying.

FatherDante 03-27-2001 08:02 AM

I find it degrading that you have to tell us you consider yourself an oldbie. :(

And whys that?

FatherDante 03-27-2001 08:15 AM

It obviously sets up a social heirarchy which devalues the "non-oldbies."

Okay, then what would you call yourself?

FatherDante 03-27-2001 08:18 AM

I'm a player. I've never been an oldbie and I never will be.

Hang around the Shimyans and you'll get it.

FatherDante 03-27-2001 08:24 AM

I don't hang around them and I don't plan to anytime, so please just tell me what you mean.

When someone says, "winner", its sarcastic for "whatever" or something.

FatherDante 03-27-2001 08:28 AM

Oh, so it's a concession of withdrawl. I get it.

Well, that's something new. o.o

vergil 03-27-2001 08:31 AM

being a newbie isnt something bad...

Lycia 03-27-2001 08:34 AM

I never said it was bad. I'm still considered a newbie by many, and I don't give a rats ***.

fugitive316 03-27-2001 08:46 AM

I believe oldbie/newbie has to do with attitude. An oldbie is a respectable person, who does not brag or think of him/her self to be above anyone else. While a newbie is the opposite. Of course those terms will never have a true definition, seeing that we all will never agree on a single definition for each.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but, being an oldbie has jack to do with respect. Its version number.

Zulithe 03-27-2001 08:54 AM

Why is it that on this board, if someone posts a .png image it won't open when you click it!? But if I save it to disk and open it, it works fine.

Spyder5782 03-27-2001 09:07 AM

Thanks for acknowledging the fact that I am certainl ynot a newbie. And here for your enjoyment it is a picture I took of me killing him! AUGHAHAHAHAHA
PS: Yes I did have money on me...300gralat =p

Lycia 03-27-2001 09:08 AM

I mean, if it'll make you feel better, I'll say it.

I, Lycia, am a newbie.

It doesn't make a difference to me.

RawPower 03-27-2001 09:18 AM

Accoring to the dictionary ( http://www.m-w.com ) the word "Oldbie" does not exist. Please stop making up definintions. You can have opinions, but you cannot tell someone they are wrong for having an opinon. Since opinions are never right or wrong.

Pago 03-27-2001 09:24 AM

"You're acting like a newbie... you're being such a newbie!" "Stop saying that, it's newbie-like".

I've seen very mature and wise newbies during the time I've spent playing Graal (More mature than some of these "oldbies" floating around), and I think we should all come up with a new term for someone who's ignorant, foolish, or immature.
