A good thing... for once :)

Since all I have seen is negative posts about kingdoms I just want to spread my story as you may or may have not known I joined Kingdoms just recently about yesterday almost 24 hours ago ;)

I logged in completed newbie island easily as I had practised alot on Trial Mode, I then went to mainland and was totally confused after asking a few basic questions to a Graal Staff member I explored a bit and I remember hearing mines were to the north west so I went and found them kicked a rock and got some gold I then went back to the first city you join, I think its bombardia or something. I then died in the middle of the town as there was some monster there I come back and some people picked up all the money and items I had (3 plats a few gold etc from selling various things I found, and an axe and shovel) they then asked me if I died I said yeah, im new and did anyone see my items there. All three said yeah here you go and gave them back which was a surpise as most game communitys like to theive, even if its stupid items they then even gave me more money and told me to get my food up as it was low and told me how to cook steaks etc and one guy even helped me get my armor, club and taught me how to cut logs etc to smith stuff and helped me get some EXP.

I would like to say thanks to all of you for helping me, I was actually getting quite bored and thinking I wasted my money but I did learn alot because of you and am now about to get level 2. I would also like to thank the Graal Staff member Grirahan for helping me out with my noobish questions.

Thanks,

I'm only a few days older than you on this community, and I've got nothing bad to say at all. Most people helped me no problem, and even jumped into the storytelling of my character! I highly recommended this game on my blog as well (I write in my blog every other day or so about gaming), so hopefully it'll bring in some fresh meat ;)

Hopefully. Though not everyone is as nice as the people you have encountered sadly.

Every online game is full of immature kids or adults for that matter but you just live with it, from what I have seen so far though it has been a great expierience.

It's good that you've seen friendly people. But, like Damix says, the more powerful you get, the more asinine everyone will get toward you. Being a super newbie, people will help you, but when you're average, or slightly powerful, people are buttplugs :(

Try not breaking the Level 10 mark or the 4 AC mark for three years.

Meh, power isn't everything. If you enjoy RPing and you can get in with a decent group on Kingdoms, levels actually become fairly insubstantial.

Damix2 01-21-2006 07:15 PM

Not everyone who has a high level doesn't roleplay =/

Borstal 01-21-2006 11:07 PM

Well im now level 3 I have a fiery sword of geovani or something and golden plate mail armor now some guy gave me and I crafted steel helmet, lucky boots and a steel sheild yet I still can't fight in the haunted house... so I really don't know where to level?

Eric Polegato 01-21-2006 11:21 PM

I've been playing for about two years and have never got past the level 20 mark. I don't really like to level at all. I'd much rather Roleplay.:)

CidNight1142 01-22-2006 01:57 AM

I like both, I'm up to about level 30, but RPing is fully possible at every level. This is the main reason why k-mode is such a popular idea. People are looking for a way to make kingdom wars fun with people of all sorts of levels being in a place in their kingdom that doesn't match that level. For example, a paladin in level 15 is very common, but would get slaughtered by someone playing a peasant or noble in a battle at level 110. That shouldn't really be.

Androk2 01-22-2006 05:58 PM

The peasant knows Kung Fu.

I'm a pathetic level 110 player. :(

Eric Polegato 01-23-2006 05:43 PM

Yeah, I led Zormtie's Navy for two different leaders. Wren and Steve, both of which I was level 15.

Raeiphon 01-25-2006 07:09 PM

Levels mean nothing in RP.

For instance, I am level 10, and the Prince of Forest.
