I second that statement. In my 7 years of gaming, I have NEVER seen such an abomination of a game that is Graal. It's fun, it has a really good scripting engine, yet there are a group of people that sit ontop of the community like a proverbial cancer and spit down waves of unsupporting and negative comments. It's an elitist attidude, and people wonder why we dont get many new people coming?

It's absurd. Honestly. And do the moderators do jack about it? No. They dont. Look around. It's pathetic. I dont pay 60 bucks a year to have my experienced ruined by some abrasive guy who takes pleasure in hurting others.

I'm forced to stay here. Why? I have friends. Despite the massive corruption, there are a few hardworking coders and designers which break their backs to make us an awesome experience, then a few of us throw comments at them that arent even relevant. And they quit. I bet, if a select few people never existed within this community, it would be a better place for all.

I, myself, dread posting anything on these forums for fear of being flamed like that. I post something, and I get the response I dread.

If so, I'll be glad to remove that avatar setting.

It's an example. As a member of staff, you've obviously been chosen for displaying a skill of such that appeals to the higher authorities, and it's a great way of showing graal what the servers are like, as the server directly reflects the staff, as they make and maintain the server.

I work on GK, Era and Rudora.
I told you my opinion of a level that you posted, it was my honest opinion and you wanted some critism.
I won't change who I am for a playerworld that I work for.

Yeah, but sometimes it can get a little out of control, all because of a few peoples ignorance... Overall though, the community isn't that bad. It's just hard to notice the good ones with the immature people clouding your view.

As a member of staff, you should also show a level of professionalism, which amounts to doing more than bluntly stating your feelings. Calling something ugly is not constructive criticism.

I wouldn't pay much attention to what Andrew says, Rei. He's already proven himself to be a terrible judge, an ignorant fool, and a sycophant with only good words for his superiors and bad ones for those he deems beneath him. :D

Man i remember goodtimes from 'used to be'.

Anyways all you have to do is pretty much open up any thread where anyone has posted anything.

Most of the time its someone who is/was global or is/was working on Graal Kingdoms (A refrence for the gold servers, you know, what people pay to play?) making some kind of stupid comment.

It isnt always someone like that, but then the ones that dont are either later fired or removed (there are a few however that are very helpful). Sometimes even some of the ones who want to help, end up quitting because its hard to fight something like that.

Woot for old Graal2k1 premarkets that made people filfty rich, old bodies and hearts yeah!

There are jerks in every community. The difference is, the community is smaller here, so you see recurring jerkdom from pathological jerks.

I agree with most, some I don't.

This is a big issue though, it's not the moderators fault.

In fact, the moderators moderate too much. Most threads in the Graal Main Forums are deleted/moved/closed for some purpose. It's very hard thinking of a thread that can fully fit just this forum because the communication center has 32894238472398 categories within it which are all dead.

The examples you posted don't even compare to what I've seen. I've seen globals fully abuse powers, insult others in front of the head honchos and get away with it. I've pointed out many examples on how globals can do whatever they want and act like a 10 year old child (most likely because they are under the age of 15). Professional is what graal is missing within it's globals. But we all knew that already :rolleyes:
