Graal v4.03 revision 3 released

We have uploaded a new version for Windows. It is mainly improving things with the Windows version that's why there is no Linux/Mac version yet. To download it just connect to the serverlist.

Updates:
- Fixed disconnection problems when enabling UDP
- Message boxes (like admin messages) now use the blue profile
- In the options window you can choose from different refresh rates for each fullscreen mode (e.g. "1024x768 (100 Hz)")
- Scripting: the emitter.clippingbox and emitter.wraptoclippingbox options are working now on the stats/GUI layer
- New options in the playerlist: you can let it show the account names of people instead of the nickname, and you can disable the display of buddies which are on other servers
- Fixed some problems of flickering text when using the bitmap fonts; if you still get that problem then please check if you see error messages in the F2 window
- It is not displaying an error anymore when the server has no 'basepackage.gupd' (download packages)
- Loading of tiles when entering the server has been improved, before it was sometimes not finding the tiledefs file and was showing bad tiles when entering the server

Finally! I've been wanting to turn off the global buddy list for a long long time.

Don't admin messages use the non-scripted Gui? I like it better than using the Gui Controls for them.

Yay, I love those playerlist features that you implemented :)

Does it work on 64 bit yet?? Or must I still use V2.
:\

This happened a few times after logging on Valikorlia (ganelon_pub1.nw), but only for a few seconds. No errors though :(

It does, but this also includes Linux and Mac versions (which are not released yet).

1. why do i hear the player death sound after the server select screen shows?

2. my password disappears even if I check 'remember password'. it sometimes is remembered but sometimes is not and I have to retype it.

Admins 01-15-2006 12:52 AM

1. Because killing is not disabled yet on the login server, but will do that soon
2. Are you using v3 sometimes? The password thing should be compatible to v2, but not v3

ReBorn_Spirit 01-15-2006 07:33 AM

Linux RC doesnt work at all for me, it crashes when I try to get onto the RC I have.

Admins 01-15-2006 07:17 PM

Any error? Have you installed the latest GTK ?

Text flickering still occurs every now and then. Although I'm not sure how to retrigger it.

I've never used v3 on this PC, though I did use v2 in the past. Would removing the Graal registry entries possibly fix it? I guess I can look into that later.

Hmmm I have checked it, can also depend on the internet connection / ethernet card not activated when starting, so it would be better to start Graal once connected, not before, if you experience an empty password field.

my last attempt to install GTK resulted in reinstallation of that OS... Which has the default 2.4 GTK available..

Admins 01-19-2006 05:41 AM

Well I can probably compile a version for gtk 2.4, since I will need to do that for Windows 98 too it is only fair x-x The problem with making several versions is that once something is updated all the different versions need to be compiled.

Update: uploaded RC versions for Windows 95/98/ME and a Linux version for GTK 2.0
