Body and gani replica

1 Attachment(s)
There seems to be a problem with some players taking on the body image and body gani of other players when some players are within close quarters of them. This doesn't seem to happen with all players, or all the time.

I am yet to have this bug occur with myself, but many players have reported it to me.

I have attached an image of a player taking on the body image and gani image of another player within close quarters.

Could anyone else test this? Does it only happen in certain situations ? Only on Windows?

This started happening to me recently. Can't remember exactly when. I do know that it used to happen on one of my other PCs with v4. I'll check to make sure DirectX and my drivers are up to that and see if it fixes.

I haven't been able to get it to happen to me, but Damix (account Damix2) has had the same problem before, I think. I recall this happening in early versions of v2 as well.

I just updated my drivers and I'm not having problems with it any more.

EDIT: As for certain situations...it seems to only happen on servers using classic bodies. Servers like Zone, GK, Atrius etc don't have this problem. It also seemed like to take on the body of another player you needed to be within a certain distance or something.

I experienced this bug in v2. It used to occur if I used an old default body (e.g. body.png) when using replaced animations (e.g. human_idle.gani which was not the same as idle), then walked near an NPC or player using an old default body with a default animation.

OK, I've talked to Damix about it on Debug and he says that he was able to fix it by updating his drivers. So if you're still having problems with it try that.

My drivers are updated, and I get it too. Actually, it's been happening since I got my laptop.

DirectX is updated too? I think v9 rev C is the most recent. If that's not it I'm not too sure. What card are you using for the laptop? The times I've had problems I think I was using Intel Graphics cards.
