Sky World (Shangri-La) Project
 

OK so shangri-la started with no plan and slowly evolved into a tropical themed server. Well now I'm starting with a clear plan for a sky world located above the main world. Here are some screenshots of it after about 3 days of work. Keep in mind it isn't complete. A lot of areas on the building havent been detailed completely and since the first screenshot is shrunk a lot of detail is lost.

ok some ideas for this world currently.

*direct link to the islands below (fall off the edge and fall to the ground below and die)
*hover cars that let you travel between the two worlds
*scrolling signs/lights for clubs and other entertainment places
*moving conveyer belt floors between platforms.
*warps linking to other platforms.

Think Jetsons type stuff.

The top of the roof could use some work; it looks really plain/featureless compared to the rest of the building.

Maybe some weather reading equipment? And blinky lights. Blinky lights everywhere. Also some cool secrets perhaps? Like: If you jump off the edge in a certian spot, you don't fall to your doom, but you fall to a different platform that is floating below, and just out of sight of the platform that you're on...? Cool stuff like that. D:

i started from the bottom and worked up with the graphics. So basically I got the shape of the roof done not too long ago. That's one area that isn't finished of course ;).

the idea of falling on a platform is kinda cool ;D secrets like that should be fun.

That's extremely cool. I really enjoy the style of the server and walked around it a couple types, but do you plan to give it a storyline, quests, or anything? Or will the server just be log on and have fun?

Anybody got an extra pair of clean boxers? :O

To be honest, I don't want people to give suggestions. I want "s64games" to do whatever he feels best. That way it's very different from all the other servers. When suggestions start rolling in, it'll just become like any other server.

I have to say, im looking forward to this project. Coming from me, that should be something...

I logged on and wow.. I got a question though. The radio is really cool but is it legal to play those songs on Graal?

What, I was just suggesting to do a quick Google search if you are interested in it, and why should laws apply differently to Graal?
Whatever, if you want an answer that's absolutly correct, you should do a Google search and take a look at some official resource or something. Not this forum though.

Just checked out the server, it's amasing in progress since i last played it, REALLY nice work dude.
Also, the base itself looks alot better on the server than in the screenshot, so, unimaginable.

Feels like a little dream world, i think soon this server will be extremely popular.

Ignore anything about me quitting one of my staff members just takes everything I say as serious as possible. Here are some updates on the progess.

This is a building for car racing with your friends and for the racing event. It has a place on top of it to upgrade your cars speed, turning, acceleration, braking, and color. On top is a VIP area with a pool and a nice view.

Find a nice range of weapons at the weapon stand or go into the back for a larger selection of weapons (that doesnt currently exist). Go party at the madrox club or take a look at the view below... As you can see the whole island world below under the Sky World.

Try out your guns in the gun arena in the middle of the Sky World. Use the obsticles to block fire and grab the powerups. Kill people to increase your "Gun" skill which allows you to then buy more powerful weapons and weapon upgrades.

I just got on Shangri-La a few days ago after being told about it. Then again this afternoon, I must say, its one of the best private, and actually if it continues like this, all around servers graal has currently. The graphics alone are very amazing, skyworld in particular. I'm loving it, keep up the good work.

I zoomed way back for a full scale shot of the new mall. I don't think you have probably seen things to this scale in Graal before. Moving escalators and parking on the top. Plenty of places to buy new npcs.

Nature comes to Sky world in the form of a small park. This is coming soon of course as you can see it's just a small grassy area right now. There will be some trees and a playground probably.

Truely awsome, this modern OW actually looks cool and realistic. I personal hate Era, but this is different, I like it.

Was I supposed to not take it seriously when you said that you could care less about the server and had removed yourself from the server options and removed your rights?
