the strafing experiment vs not strafing

commando class, sweep fleet for both times. strafed first, then went nonstrafing. the strafing run was began with no money (trial account). i purchased medpacks while strafing when: my team one and when i returned and when i died. purchased medpacks while not strafing when i returned.
went for kills not bases. 1 bike mine kills while strafing. died both times fighting more then 1 person. while strafing, took on 2 or 3 attackers with ease. much more difficult without strafing - had to heal. returned to dropship once on both runs for ammo and health. enemies strafed at least 40% of the time both runs. so by pressing the shift key.. i become nigh invincible.. do i really need to say anything else? |

Yeah this proves nothing. Except that fact that the second time you went onto the map you were more unlucky. If anything this is a way to be ****y about being 12:1...

I got 151:1 with none strafe...if you dont beleive me check the screenshot browser. anyway, this thread is spam.

It's a 1 kill/death difference. How does this prove anything?

i know this isnt a perfect experiment, and maybe i just got unlucky.
but irregardless of the scores, i find it MUCH easier to survive while strafing.. and i think that any move/item/weapon/technique/class that gives you a greatly increased accuracy and greatly increased defense (because of suppresion fire) is BAD -- unbalanced. the game is quite playable without strafing, but it DOES take more skill. ive been fighting with the LRpulsar, no strafe and doing great -- even close/med range. yes, strafing makes it so much easier.. but it makes killing people too easy. there should be more skill needed.. with strafing, it sorta flattens the skill needed to be good, AND it makes running away and shooting VERY easy to do. for crying out loud, just try taking back out strafing and see what happens.. |
