Comcast - unable to connect?

I'm not sure if this has been posted anywhere yet (I can't see why it would be, since they cannot access anything Graalonline related), but...

Comcast customers cannot connect to Graal.

I have gathered this information from Inferno, and he says he has talked to several people.

Quote:

Inferno Marvel: I doubt you use comcast right
Alex Stravier: I dumped comsuck months ago.
Alex Stravier: Too expensive.
Inferno Marvel: yea well you pay attention on graal and have a brain unlike others Ive talked to
Inferno Marvel: Whats this problem with not logging on graal with comcast?
Inferno Marvel: If that is the problem
Alex Stravier: Not logging on Graal with Comcast, huh? ...People with Comcast can't log on right now?
Alex Stravier: That's a rather interesting problem, I bet it has to do with that Elvin kid with a 24. IP range getting globally banned.
Inferno Marvel: Cloud currently cant log on and he uses the same ISP as me (Comcast)
Inferno Marvel: I talked to Ukyo
Inferno Marvel: he said hes been getting ims from people saying the same thing
Although, I noticed that most of their IPs start with a 68 instead.

Is there any reason people with the Comcast ISP can't connect?

Ehh not true. I've been on Comcast since the start and have played Graal all the time. In fact, I'm on GK right now.

The thread ("Login issue") that was most recently updated before you posted is actually addressing the same problem. But that's okay.

While this statement may be true for most them, I just want to note that it's not only Comcast customers, and also appears that not all Comcast customers are affected.

Anyway, as far as I'm aware it has nothing to do with any kind of global IP ban. And most likely isn't something that's within our ability to actually fix.

From the few traces I've had some of the unfortunate people run to the Graal servers, it seems that the problem lies somewhere on the above.net network between (or in) UK/France. Unixmad stated earlier to someone in the support center that our main provider "had a router maintenance", but I'm uncertain as to whether this explanation is valid for this issue or not since it's been over 24 hours now since the problem manifested.

So at this time, all I can recommend to do is wait patiently while whoever is responsible becomes aware of and resolves the issue.

I use comcast and it works for me?

Someone on the Era forums has the same problem.
Thanks Ibonic, I've informed this player.

That's good. I did say "and also appears that not all Comcast customers are affected" in my post though.

It's usually a good idea to read a thread before you submit a reply :)

I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic, but true nonetheless.

Okay, I think I'm just going to close the thread until an update is available.

We have found the problem, our main IP transit provider Abovenet was having problem with Comcast, it is now resolved.
