User created heads
 

I rarely have something said to me about a head that i use on any given server, and i have only had a few confrotations about the issue one having happened just a few minutes ago.


Am i allowed to use any head that winds up in my files (ie the graal heads/bodies/whatever folders) regardless of who had it uploaded? or must i respect the claim of ownership and have to pick another look? I always thought whatever is made, and uploaded onto graal servers only belongs to cyberjouers after that.

Don't listen to any ***** that says "You cant use that head! I made it for me!" They don't own it whether they made it or not, they can't tell you whether or not you can use it. It's GraalOnline's property once they submit it for uploading.

Any head that winds up in your graal folder? Only if it was uploaded on that server already with proper permission, and only if that server doesn't have some sort of restriction attached to that head.

It wouldn't work unless it was uploaded on the server, unless it is a Graal wide graphic, correct?
Also, if there is a restriction on the graphic, wouldn't it be scripted so people could not use it?

Right. I was covering the possibility that this person was talking about getting heads from other servers uploaded places they shouldn't be.

That's kinda a by-server thing.

But, if they aren't scripted so that others cannot use them, then it breaks no rules for someone to use the heads on the server, is what I was getting at.

There should be new global heads. :(

Wait, so we have to script-enforce every playerworld-specific rule we make, now? 'Cause I was under the impression that we didn't.

I didn't say that, but I was under the impression that if the heads are not scripted so people cannot wear them, that you cannot tell them that they can't wear them...I guess I am wrong?
Does that mean that a PW can jail someone for not removing a head when told to do so?
I don't mean to go on and on about this, but now I want to know exactly what the rules are on graphics

I've never heard of any such rule.

If they have some rule against it that they make their players aware of, sure.

I can't tell you what each server's policy is. That's why my original post was worded as it was.

That happens when the clock on the forums server drifts.

The head only works on maloria as far as i can tell (have not tried other servers but i doubt it will work) but phantasmagoria helped me with the issue, as lance stated, unless their is a rule by the server administrator for that playerworld claiming private playerworld heads cannot be used, i have to follow it.


Since there was no existing rule then it was alright for me to keep using the head even though i was being asked by this other player to remove it. (this player was not an administrator for the server or graalonline, so i can bluntly ignore further claims, thanks everyone for the info, i appreciate it ^^ )
