Immortal Frost
 

ZH and I talked about this for a brief moment, but I just asked if I could take a stab at making a new Immortal Frost Shield, because everyone was complaining about his. This isn't for competition or anything, but I just want to see what you guys think, and you may use it if you want.

I think it's too neon.

Can I see the ogrinal Immortal Frost shield? Maybe I'll make my own version ;D.

I just wish they would switch it back to ZH's version that he said was "too evil." It looked nice compared to the crap that is the Immortal Frost now.

DAMN!!! When Haro says its good, its really good O.O. I also like it very much :D.

I think it looks likes crap, and it has no outline.

I liked the redo of Immortal Frost by Alarid. Of course, who doesn't like what Alarid makes?

I htink I'd prefer it outlineless. Adding an outline would just add that bit more shadow to it (Coloured outlines) and Black Outlines tend to look damn ugly :P

edit (cause i cant post twice in one day...grr) : i think the problem with it is that it doesn't have much form to it - it almost looks like just a blue cloud

I shall put an outline on it then.



::EDIT:: Ok, there are two versions, one with a black outline, and one with a dark blue outline, tell me which one you like better.

You can't tell if it's cloudy, or bumpy - I don't think you display the depth of it very well. Otherwise, I like the colors :)

Repost yours please. Yours was exellent. This doesn't have the detail that yours does.. hell, I replaced the GK Immortal Frost with yours and bought a Immortal Frost to look tight, then spread the gif around xD;

how do you lose your stuff? dude ive held on to EVERYTHING ive ever made. yes even the ****ty stuff. yes the shield isnt good right now, but its not like it cant be transformed into something great. give it some outer reinforcements, some more body. as alarid said, its looks more like a blue cloud.

You did post it up on the forums.. along long time ago.

THIS is what the Immortal Frost should, and always has looked like in my eyes. The only reason we didn't replace it back then was because Jagen's corrupt ass was keeping it out because him and Huru "made" (aka recolored cross shield) Immortal Frost.

Wow, Alarid's (Or Dusty's, right?) shield is "DA BOMB". ^_^

everything alarid does is "DA BOMB". little ninja's, awesome shields, weird D&D comic thingys.. i still remember that @_@

He made a cool GUI for Bravo once aswell.

The sideways on that shield looks a bit off though, its not as far down as the front and back, and the ice looks too metallic, thats about all the bad parts.

yours looks very.. zoneish. no, the colors are almost vivid. like a step better than graals colors. i'm not used to it. dull it down.

I agree, the very first word that came into my head was "Zone." It isn't in GK's coloring style, it needs to be less vibrant, I'm all for Alarid's, that one rocks. :cool:

They look good here, just not on characters =(

I think you should try making the ice more textured on the second one, which is certainly more shield like. Ice shouldn't be that sort of blue either and in my opinion, it should be more of a light cyan. Also, more facets* wouldn't go amiss.

*NOTE: I know Facet means the faces on a cut gem, but I couldn't think of the correct word to be applied in this case.

Alarid's look's brilliant ingame, go try it out. Just paste it over any shield you have. Hell, me and DragonX used it! How couldn't it be awesome with us two .. :]

i just remember giving anU a better version a day after the first...
the first was like a blur of face...and i couldn't stand looking at it :P
the second had alot more contrast and definition....
