i have nothing wrong with diamonds as main currency whilst player trading but i cam accross something and thought omg omg omg....but turns out to be wtf wtf wtf.

whilst i was mining i gained afew diamonds, then struck gold (or at least i thought i did) as i found a Diamond of great value! i thought YAY im gonna be rich alittle woohoo, i mass pm saying i selling it, and i get messages back saying its worthless/useless i mean wtf?

if diamonds are the main currency whilst player trading, why is this diamond of great value....not great value at all? i mean its sells for a crappy 34plats in shops (i right clicked it, and it said) and its worthless when player trading.

(unless im totally wrong?)

what i would like to know is, why is this diamond ingame if people think its worthless?

why is it so rare to find them, when it sell for next to nothing, and no one wishes to buy it?

why does it have the name Diamond of great Value, if it only sells for 34plats?

plus more but i carn't think of any at the mo XD.

anyone got any answers to this?

You can't prep with diamonds of great value.

I heard that you can, but it only counts as one normal diamond, correct me if I'm wrong.

so what your saying is im wright? i mean, if it has only 1dias value then its a useless (remove it and none will care) item in gk.....*sigh*

does anyone know at all what this item is used for ie;
making jewelry?
making wands?
making weapons? (such as the diamond blade - uses 1 norm dias)
weapon/armour enchancements maybe?
Quest?
alchemy?

if it carn't answer any question to why its there, then its pretty much a useless item.

i would like a admin or someone that knows alot or quite abit of graal to only further this thread please, unless you know of what the diamond of great value does.

It doesn't do anything. Supposedly it will one day be used in alchemy.

No. It's a rumour. If Bjorn told me that it would one day happen, then I would know for sure that it would never happen.

you can use diamond of great value to make glok belt, diamond blade, zormite blade, etc.

Diamond blade uses 1 norm dia, never the less i am interested in this glok belt and zormite blade, where do i find the shop where i can craft those please?

Diamond == 4 plat if you sell it to shops. Diamond of Great Value == 34 plat (as you claim)... 4 play < 34 plat. Enough said!

It's Great value in relation to shop keepers... Otherwise, it's utterly useless.

When stefan friest started making graal, he though that he would make 10 plat as much as 5 diamonds, he was thinking plat would be so hard to get, thats why everything is so low in plat to NPCs ((Thats my thinking, i guess i shouldnt think anymore....))

Normal diamonds only used to sell to players for 10 plat each, it used to be real hard to level and the highest levels were around about level 20, nobody could fill a weapon with 26 slots, then lords were released and then brutals were released all of a sudden there is a high demand for diamonds because of peoples high level.

but yeah, updates in the game haven't been keeping up with the economy. what else is new?
