dynamic setshapes
 
1. you setshape
2. you can't change the shape, unless
3. you set it a width or height to 0, in which case
4. you can't set it back.

NPC Code:

setshape 1,32,32;
}
function onPlayerTouchsMe() {
setshape 1,0,64;

function onPlayerChats() {
setshape 1,64,64;
}

It's not a good idea to mix gscript with gscript2.

well... uhh... i actually tested it with all GS1 because the entire sliding door script I made is GS1. It does work in GS2... but what's with the nonconformity between GS1 and GS2 functionality? shouldn't they be the same?

The new scripting has more functionality, so if you use special features of the new engine (like function onEventName) then it will not work in the old scripting engine.

The script that does it doesn't have onEventName.
