Request for name change

Bjorn told me about a week ago that he was going to institute a new kingdom name system where the name of this kingdom would be fixed as "Zormite". Presumably the other kingdoms would be fixed as Dustari, Samurai and Forest. I don't know whether Crescent Pirates will be fixed as "Crescent Pirates" or as "Pirate Crew" (It's original name). I can't post the PM history with Bjorn since that would be against the rules. I can send it to you on Graal if you ask me. I'm asking that Kefkin change the name now because it might be inevitable anyways.

Now, I won't lie, since this is Bjorn we're talking about, it's highly possible that this won't happen. I can say though, that if this request is going to be denied/filibustered that I'll PM him a lot to "remind" him to do this.

I doubt this will be accepted by Kefkin. Somebody got Kefkin enchanted with the concept of an "evil" kingdom, possibly because he thought it would provide an excuse for Etien's scam (a Karakaze characteristic). I'm just not really looking to PM Bjorn even more unless I'm sure the alternatives are ineffective.

Hell put you on ignore, like he did before to me..

I doubt it. It hasn't happened yet.

now wait, i dont have a clue what is going on here, with the Presumably the other kingdoms would be fixed as Dustari, Samurai and Forest. I don't know whether Crescent Pirates will be fixed as "Crescent Pirates" or as "Pirate Crew" (It's original name). How will they be "Fixed"

As in, you won't be able to change the name. This makes more RP sense as simply being leader of a kingdom doesn't give you RP authority to rewrite that kingdom's existence.

You don't have to rewrite a Kingdom's history just to change the name.

England became Great Britain - history still connected
Byzantium became Holy Roman Empire - history still connected
Russian Empire became Union of Socialist Soviet Republics which became the Russian Federation - history still connected

That's a lot different than what happened here. Kefkin created an entirely new kingdom and just declared himself leader. That makes as much RP sense as the leader of Samurai declaring themselves the leader of Dustari.

This is rediculous.....

The only way to actually have a small chance of taking any nation would be to push admins constantly to make any, I mean ANY system of rules in case someone wants to take a kingdom.

For example: When I wanted to overthrow nayoko, I was able to have at least a trial. If the people selected wanted me to be leader, they would just vote.

If a system like that was up. Then lets say I want to become leader of BO, I just personally join and have an election like the one like me vs. nayoko, or send in a loyalist with an insurgent army to do it.

You could do K-mode too. It allows wars, and makes national power based on population and tactics, not uber itemz0rs. But then you still need a kingdom overthrow system or something.

Disabling the ability to create crafty little names for the kingdom like Bosh Empire would be disappointing and unfair for us rutheless dictator types.
You could also have a popular majority election. Meaning that the incumbant must be defeated by his opponent with a 2/3rds majority for him to be diposed and the challenger to become king. Only kingdom members can vote.

Just some examples, it may not be perfect for some, but its better than what we have. Right now our server's name should be Graal Overlords.

In other words you want a system where you can go around to whatever kingdom you want, get recruitment rights and then stuff it with your flunkies so you can have an insurrection, like you're trying to do with Bel'la Olplyn. Having a leader that can't be gotten rid of by regular members is fine, but their power should be curtailed like it was on 2K1 so that they aren't the ultimate supreme power with total control over every aspect, both IC and OOC, of their kingdom. For the extremely awful leaders, staff can step in. Even at Kefkin-level though, I don't think the staff necessarily need to get involved. It's not so much Kefkin's leadership but rather stupid things like Bel'la Olplyn that call for staff attention. Kefkin was no great leader when he and Etien lead Zormite, but it was acceptable before the scam.
