Maybe.

kia345 02-08-2011 07:00 PM

Six years later and the handle still renders it less-than-functional.

I disagree, that end looks rather useful for rending/piercing purposes.

kia345 02-08-2011 08:42 PM

Yeah, but it's on the side that will obviously be used for chopping. Since it curves in that way, I imagine it would be clipping on your forearm or demanding odd wrist positions, depending on how you hold it. Imagine slashing at someone while holding a banana, you have to bend to fit the shape. If you attempted to use it the other way (predominantly attacking with that point), the axe heads would get in your way.

Fulg0reSama 02-08-2011 09:05 PM

I guess.. But I don't see it as being used like that..

I'd have the axe held in an upright position aiming the head of the axe towards my opponent and advance the bottom end of the axe towards my opponent in an attempt to stab or gore him.

kia345 02-08-2011 09:09 PM

Enjoy having your own shoulder mauled by the second axe head.

Okay. Have fun not using a weapon to full flexibilities.

geneticfrog 02-08-2011 09:24 PM

haven't you ever used a woodcutting axe?.... curved for better grip and to aid in the swinging motion.... but thats just reality...

you take graal a litle too serious when you see every graphic of a weapon, you want to wield it on graal... but oh wait it cant poke you on the shoulder ... in graal?.. in reality you are staring at a screen pushing a button..

it also was never on zodiac and was never intended to be on any server at all.

its a gfx ... look at it comment dont ramble like kia about randomest crap ever.

kia345 02-08-2011 10:14 PM

I own the biggest mountain range on the forums, and it started as a minute molehill.

That doesn't have a spike, and they are not swung haphazardly as they would be in combat. The entire handle is shaped to better facilitate your hands in the repetitive motion you use them for.

No, but if you design a weapon, one should design it with function in mind. Ask yourself if this would work, what are the designs flaws, why should this choice be made. That's why I think Elk is one of the worst pixel artists ever. None of his stuff makes sense.

I am commenting, critiquing even. It's not rambling at all. Suck it up Jer, people have said what I said about this axe six years ago.

This is probably the only part that was necessary, rest pretty much ruined the post :(

geneticfrog 02-09-2011 12:05 AM

i stoped caring what you say when i saw "elk is a bad artist"...

you clearly dont understand the concept of pixel art but i had a vision of you typing a whole page about how your have such a great opinion. if you say elk is bad then your opinion honestly mean nothing at all and i dont take anything you say as constructive critisism.

its also one if the first gfx ive made thus the date.

and finally you are just annoying kia not helpfull in anyway. its like a drummer trying to tell a guitar playing how to play when neither have practiced the others art.

annoying.

kia345 02-09-2011 12:18 AM

Jer, I am only trying to be helpful! Graphics, especially weapons, are much more appealing to a broader range of people when you make them logical! Elk undeniably has great talent, but he made a deal with the devil and traded his grip on reality for that.

Because the first part seemed important on a technical level, explaining how his comparison to a lumber axe was completely backward when applied to a weapon.

Positive commentary > Negative insulting commentary
Just sayin'

The last part was a good way to sour your assistance.
