Requested Stuff For V4

- RC Buddy List Removed (On rc u can see ur buddy's when they are online)
- More Emoticons would look cooler and nicer emoticons for in pm (if needed i could gfx them)

Krattos 10-03-2005 02:45 PM

And i dont like that Quess account
its not secured for hackers... and if gets banned no one can get on it etc...

When banning guests then only their computer is banned, not the guest account itself. Some stuff requires the new RC which will be released soon.
Graal v4 can support animated emoticons like you have on some playerworlds, but v2 is not supporting it so we need to wait until v4 is released to everyone before enabling that.

Great idea, I really like this idea...does this mean that trials are being gotten rid of, using the guest account instead?

My guess is no, but I'm not positive; I do know that not only guests can be banned by Computer ID, though.

Well, I hope there is some sort of plan so that people who cause so much trouble because they know they can just keep making trials can be stopped...

For the "people who cause so much trouble because they know they can just keep making trials": they can be banned by Computer ID.

So unless they find a way to spoof their ID, those people will have a hard time causing more trouble.

Unless they want to keep replacing their hard drives i doubt that...

I'd like 3D light's to be optional. It'd make Graal run smoother for some people.

It's required for the GUI, for particle effects, and for bitmap fonts. It would be better if people update their graphics card driver instead of limiting the features for other people. My internet computer is almost 7 years old and can run more than 10 Graal v4 game windows at the same time. So it's not a problem of speed, it's mainly a problem of bad drivers. We need to add some documentation / help page for easily finding the good drivers I think.

I thought you mentioned something about adding a thing that would detect outdated drivers and help with updating? Is that possible?

Methinks a Temp Ban Timer would be nice, because people sometimes forget when to unban accts.
Also, line numbers in the script editing window, seriously, gets annoying when you get an error with a given line # and you have to count them when in a large script.

:/
I'm still requesting a global class and clientside player functions..

I'd really like to see both of them.

Time bans are already supported, also line numbers in script window, this will be in the new RemoteControl

more sound controls/flags would be nice, like to the extent that you could make graphic music visulizations like in Windows Media Player.

Good idea but it should be brought back as a scripting option. So servers can decide what to do with it and such. The zoom in/out option should simply also be able to zoom "out" so beyond the actual size.
Zooming out could actualy be used in some pretty nice effects (for 2d aswell as 3d servers (wich already have it enabled) )

Imagine zooming out in a 2d server combined with a nice script to display clouds/mist and such. Would just be a nice feature but hey. Nice features make up 80% of a good game :P!
