The pirates have recently been using a new method of transport, is your pirate ally in danger? stick him in the pirate pillory then let him out easy. But wait arn't pirates surposed to use boats? I have seen 2 pirates use this method in the past couple of days, one was iscariot who warped his friend sage scooby to safety the other was Marouku (or something like that) who warped his friend Yann to safety. I feel this is abuse of thier powers and hope something will be done about it, although it wouldn't surprise me if this is supported by the leaders of CP seeing as most of the high ranks have the power. Is this abuse? or is it designed for this use?

Well that's definetely not proper use of this function. It should be used for purposes of punishment only. I'm sure Alan agrees.

Back in the Mydia days we'd use it as a summoning tool for Samurai events.

That's not allowed and I know Alan doesn't allow Pirate's to do so. But Criagus they wouldn't have done it if you weren't hunting them down PKing them.

What else is there to do except pking, you can't blame him. Besides if you don't want to get pked there is something like pmode :whatever:

I never said PKing was illegal. But when he killed Yannick he had two other friends helping him block him in. Then they wait outsdie at the door for them to come out? Craigus you're making it sound like they use'd the pillory just as a quick way to CP.

No, i said they are using it as a escape route, but i can only notice them doing this while i am killing them because its obvious. Nobody sees the other times (if they exist) i've seen it happen twice very recently by 2 different people, so its not even the same 1 person doing it.

I even questioned Iscariot about it and i got a reply of something like: LOL well tell staff sam is on right now LOL

I did use the pillory to arrest sage_scooby because he swore for the third time. Funny what made him swear was you and the 2 others pking him but never the less he swore. As for Maroku I have no idea.

As for any other warping going on Im not sure. I find the whole unsticking from the dungeon then unsticking from a boat method highly effective.

I was chasing sage scooby, he stopped next to you and said 1 word Pillory before continue running about 5 mins later he was sent to pirate pillory, i didn't think much of his words until then, but it's my guess you ran through the dungeon to pirate island as quick as you could to rescue him

He never stopped by me and said Pillory. We where partying and he was on the other part of the island searching for lords. then I got a pm for the 3rd time saying something like "omg those f****** are here again" so I pilloried him.

wow punishment npc's are now being used as fast transporation/rescue opperations....

and kingdom pillories are only ment for the kingdom leader to use z.z

Nobody is immune to punishment for rights abuse, not even admins.

I didn't know pirates could 'of course' warp around.

Abusing pillories needs punishment! I will keep an eye on that as far as I can. But mostly I have to pay attention not to get PKed, so I can't do it all the time.

Indeed Iscariot pillored me for swearing when I was attacked I toguilded it rather rashly. I did say pillory when I went by him as I was trying in a hurry to question him about it, but as I was being PK'ed and running I didnt exactly have time to sit and chat on the matter. I just thought that maybe he could have better thought about punishing me for saying that when I was being attacked again. I do appologize if it got in the way of your pking me, but as we were on tag and Iscariot and I were doing something together as a kingdom I deserved to be punished. So I spent a few minutes in the pillory to cool down and remind me not to swear at my kingdom members when people attack me.

Also isnt that a rather inaffective way to avoid dieing? First someone has to get next to the thing to pillor you. I mean one could even more easily log off instantly. So lets weigh the options here, wait 5 minutes for someone to run to your kingdom island or log off?

So I should be forced to go into P-mode because they enjoy killing? What fun is killing people that cant even hit you back? Also the more exp in B-mode is always on the table. And if I was really bothered by it I'd be in P-mode wouldnt I?

I know I agreed to this when I joined CP.

I wouldn't of expected you to punish a fellow pirate, we all know they get special treatment.

If it doesn't bother you why do you start swearing to your fellow kingdom members about it?
If it doesn't bother you to get killed just stand still instead of running away every second (wich has no use since you get killed anyway)
Maybe they'll find it less fun after a while?

It is annoying to lost items and be moved to your last spot. It doesnt bother me to a point where I am going to go berserk, but being interupted continously will get to anyone after a time now wont it? Example I just left a map a second ago and who was there waiting to kill me before I could enter my next one good ole reliable craigus. I've also tried standing there but to be honest I have better things to do with my time than allow them to maim me.

Well like I said before go pmode, about the exp well you might get some less but you loose a lot of time with getting pked so in the time you would loose when you were bmode you could have gone to the hh and get some more maps wich you could do.
So in the end if you're fast enough you'll get more exp in pmode than in bmode.
Bmode isn't always the fastest way to get exp if you know that you'll get pked half of the time.

Though I am not getting Pk'ed half the time.

Pirate leaders are not allowed to use the Pillory except for punishment, which it sounds like Iscariot did. I will talk to Maroku about what happened, to see if his use of the pillory was proper or not. In the past, I have removed the L right from members who couldn't stick to the rules, so I won't hesitate to do that again.
