IntroScreen + Offline Scripts

Various scripting suggestions I have about v4. They've been stated in either the v4 forum or the Scripting forum, but I want to bring them all here, so they're in one place.

The RC is now skinnable, with controlconfig.txt, so I was wondering since the new IntroScreen is basically a level + npcs with a few images and Gui objects, could we have a skinnable or scriptable IntroScreen? Like... maybe an "introscript.txt" file in our /Graal4/ directory, basically as a GraalNW file would be, with the board tiles and the scripts. This way I could fiddle with profiles and add some different emitters, effects, npcs, etc to the IntroScreen. I'd love for this to be possible.

Also, I'd love for a way to test scripts, clientside GS2 scripts, without access to an RC or the internet. Basically, I want an offline level editor type-thing that I could use to test GS2 scripts. I know this isn't in the works currently, but I was wondering if it could be added in there somewhere. Maybe like... Graal4Editor.exe to prevent online-editing hacking and the like? I'd like this.

It looks to me that the Graal login screen is basically done is GS2, so asking to customize it seems like an entirely reasonable request. I, for one, would love to be able to customize it as well ;).

The idea of an offline GS2 editor has been spoken about a lot, and it is one that I support too. Something like an offline NPC server simulator would be soooo nice :D.

So basically, you want a Graal Editor update that's a very good idea for GS2 scripting functions to be added I, think it would be helpful for Developers. Or better yet a separate program to go with Graal 4 to allow the effects of a script or tell there is a problem with the currently loaded script some what like that I’ve wanted since GS2 was released.

I only care about clientside scripts. A client-based NPCServer might be asking a little too much, and would pave the way for some hackers. Bad idea.

But yea, an offline script debugger would be nice. :D

The login screen is not a level. It's a window with a background image and GuiShowImg controls.

The F8, It seem to be a level you can still hear slashing if you close the menu and try to slash your sword it works q menu does too... that should probably be disabled by (enablefeatures) through the place it connects to (Login 1) and the start up screen, it doesn't seem like a level at all it just basically i thought it was a background image with GuiShowImg like you said.

You are in a level on login 1, although it is black.

x-x You people read too much into things. When you start Graal, and you type in your account/pass, what you see in the new version is a LEVEL with a few scripts. That level is embedded into the Graal code.

I'm not talking about the Serverlist level. That is a level called "black.nw" on a server called "Login 1", which is basically a modified playerworld, one that does not have a playerlist, and one that keeps track of certain scripts like -IRC and -PlayerList, and that server is also responsible for the Global PlayerList working. I don't need anything to do with that.

I would suggest reading Rick's post. :)
