Any easy ways to replace colors?

Ok well I have a friend that has Halo sprites for a webcomic they make and they want them recolored so she can have a sheet for each character from Red vs Blue. and I have been like just replacing the colors pixel by pixel but its taking an outrageously long time....so I was wondering is there an easy way in Adobe Photoshop to replace certain colors with another color or is there another program that would do this for me?

Edit: I don't have vip/gold so I only have one post so

@konidias: Thanks I will look that up on google and try it out.

@Butz: Hue/Saturation adjusts the levels of the whole image doesn't it? Therefore it would change ones I wouldn't want changed aswell.

Either the colorize option or the color to color tool, I prefer Psp for this though :/

I use Hypersnap DX for color swapping. It has the easiest color swapping tool by far. You get the little eyedropper tool and you can just select two colors with it and swap them, or you can pick from the color graph or whatever. Also, you can add as many color swapping tasks as you want and then do it all at once so it changes all the colors to whatever you were wanting them to.

Very handy and a lot better than colorize in photoshop.

Is that program free?

You can do this in Animation Shop 3, which is just like the PSP way, you open it up, use a dropper tool to select the color you want to replace, then just select what color you want with a pallette.

Haha, no problem. Actually Hypersnap DX isn't free from what I'm aware... It has like a 30 day trial thing... but the trick is to turn off the hotkey it has for printscreen, and then you can still modify everything in hypersnap and hit your printscreen button, and then just paste that into an image editor and crop out everything but the image. That's one way to get around having to pay. Hahaha...

But yeah, once the trial runs out it slaps labels all over the image when you try to save or even copy.

Selection tools.
If you select only what you want to change, that's all that Hue/Saturation will affect.

you can choose a range of hues to modify also. like only greens and blues or whatever.

Or you could just select the magic wand, deselect all the checkboxes near the top, grab a 26 brush, select the color you want, and repeat. :D
