When was the last time...
 

... that a server hit the Classic tab and stayed for a while? Actually, when was the last time there was a new playerworld on the Classic tab? Was it Era? It's been too long, nothing is changing with the classic playerworlds of Graal, everyone is concentrating on things like gold servers, new scripting engines, and new versions of the client. Nothing new has happened, really, it's getting kind of... boring. Why were servers like Cynical, Enigma, and Babylon shut down? They were all good. I even remember a server headed by Sebman that was released for about a week and then put off the list forever. How do you just get rid of a whole playerworld and never hear from it again? Anyway, there has to be some hosted/private server that is ready for releasal, isn't it about that time?

Well I would call the reopening of Maloria quite successful, also Zone is even on the Gold tab now. There are also some playerworld projects making very good progress and going classic in a few months I hope.

I suspect that Aeon and Zodiac have the potential to be the next Classic playerworlds, although i could be wrong. As for Babylon, it was'nt shutdown, i dont think. They requested to go on the private list untill the new overworld was done by Malinko, but i'm not so sure what in the world is going on with Babylon these days.

Apparently we passed for Hosted, but if we went to hosted then we wouldn't have the thing that lets non-gold players play the server. So the manager who will remain nameless (zzz) decided we weren't going hosted and to wait till we can get classic.

Yeah i believe somewhere in "Future Improvements" me and Spark got into this mini-discussion. Everyone is looking at hosted servers going "ZOMG THEY ARE GONNA BE SO READY". However its the ones that people are able to overlook that are closer to ready then anyone thinks. Its what they call "flying under the radar" i think.

The old maloria was nothing like today's maloria. Today's maloria is a rip off of what Valikorlia was in 2003 and im surprised it even passed to classic.

Thallen is talking about classic servers though, zone being on gold is irrelevant.

I agree here. Last time I checked Babylon looked good.

You guys know what I miss? Xone, Enigma, Sanstrata. However you CANT revive those servers because the overall community is GONE. :(

I occasionally private server hop - going from one private server to the next, looking for something new and good. Mostly, I find servers with the manager having a sign saying "Server Shut Down". That, and then I come across servers with ripped off levels. There was one that had a replica of UN. Another one I saw was basically a replica of Classic. -_-. And then there were some that just plain sucked. With all the pre-made tiles. Ewww. :frown:
