Internet+PSP=Graal, OMFG
ok, admins or whatever you call them are probably going to mvoe this, but its about graal, so yeah, i just updated my PSP to get internet, and i heard that stefan might be making graal for things with interet ((I LOVE YOU STEFAN, SOUND OFF EVERYONE)). Anyways, i have a friend on graal saying he already got it, but i have worked my ass off to try and get it, nho luck, if anybody knows anything about this, please PLEASE tell me, thanks

Are you asking if there is Graal for the PSP? If so, no, there isn't.
|
Nor will there ever be
|
There must be some kind of emulator that lets you run non-PSP stuff on your PSP. If there isn't, there probably will be.
|
well i heard ir is easy to do that, but i have no clue how to do it, w/e, anybody else no anything?
|
Just because it's possible to do something doesn't mean that it's practical.
Wasting the time and energy to make a PSP port of Graal would not be worth the 2 or 3 people it might amuse. |

Running graal on a PSP would be impossible. Unless of course you had addapters that allow you to plug a mouse and a keyboard into a PSP, which is unheard of and wouldnt work anyway because a PSP wouldnt recognize a mouse or keyboard port of any kind. Not to mention the fact that it would undoubtably suck ass. Having graal on a tiny little screen would be even more frustrating than starting a Specialists server using Linux. Why even bother when you could play Graal on a 1280x1024 resoplution flatscreen monitor?

It's not impossible, just highly impractical. |
Personally I like to play fun games on my PSP.

Next month we will work on porting v4 to mobile phone and PSP. The screen of the PSP is quite big, and with wireless LAN the internet connection speed should be quite high. You also have memory cards for saving files like heads, bodies etc.
The only problem might be typing chat text. You can connect some USB keyboard though, or you can buy a special small PSP keyboard, will be released in October I think, manufacturer Logic 3. |

hahaha the phone one would suck unless you have some nice service connection with a nice phone like a sidekick or some other big cellphone. I myself am getting a psp in a couple months for my b-day hopefully, and yea they might have a small little keyboard that attachs to your psp and like stays on your psp. Not connected by a wire..

And screen size doesn't matter, movies look great on it, and games do too. I'm very intrigued on how this may turn out. |
It's actully very possible, I have linux on PSP, if i could install graal to it it should work. No longer VIP so i'll have to edit it, and i have a x86 version of linux on theirs tons out their just gotta google a little, and look for a legit one i believe slackware works good on linux, but you need a decent sized ammount of memory.

Gameboy all over again. |

I think it would be nice on the nintendo DS personally... There's the whole touch screen thing which can basically be used like a mouse. Though I'm not really up to date on whether or not DS even has net capabilities. |
Plus, newer phones and PSPs have more compatibility than the old Gameboys. And version 4 was scripted with porting in mind.

I'd be willing to wager my soul that Graal will never "officially" be ported over to PSP. |
Let's make the offline servers first.

Even if Graal is ported to PSP, so what? Not like much will happen. Don't know why people are so happy and mad over it.

they are developing them. |

I think some people are missunderstanding the storage capacity of the PSP.
The standardized memory stick accompanied with a PSP is 32 mb. (if you where to save your graal data on this.. it would use most of it) Saving it on the psp itself would also restrict almost everything you can do on it (not to mention that you won't have any place to put your "small" game save files) The PSP isn't a miracle it's just a PDA downgraded to gameformat. Typing takes ages and the keyboard that will accompany the PSP has been talked about alot but never had any official release date. Above all that PSP's wireless internet dc's every now and than specialy if your in a building (but thats just me I guess) |
But the game itself can already bring most files. For dynamic content you would need a bigger memory stick then I guess

The idea has been dropped? |

Simply change the PSP to Xbox360.
1) Its already got XBL, 2) Handles downloads easily, 3) You can save files to the hard drive. PS3 would just screw stuff up trying to do it. PSP is incredibly unreliable if you play for a long time. The Wii? Not enough buttons. That leaves the 360. Believe me, I've mapped this several times for many systems. |
