Why does there need to be a terran era for roleplaying?

As for speaking... you dont have to use thou or doths... You can speak in every day Engrish or whatever. It's reffered to as Common.

Can I roleplay that I am a 21th century human controlling my character through a so-called "online game"...?

You could, but you would be deemed the village idiot and tomatoes would be thrown at you... seeing how there is no 21th century OR online games.

What I don't understand is why people even need GK to RP.
Let's say you're RPing to and some goon comes along and is irritating you... why can't you just say, "((Let's take this to another server, how about Classic?))".

If you're playing a role, and *material* objects such as items in the game get in the way... why not disclude them from RP?

On other servers, such as classic (and UN for that matter), you may get majorly harassed for trying to RP on there. On GK, one of it's purposes was to be an RP Server, so nobody should be able to complain to you about RPing.

Perhaps not in your roleplaying continuity. What makes your decisions on the storyline inherently more justified than mine?

Also, my character would so deflect all your tomatoes with her leet matrix skillz.

Graal doesn't have a specific time era, but it does have a limited tech level.

Your mana-infused Crystals could be reffered to as Zalatic Crystals - ancient power sources which power the Zalatic Rifles. Graalians wouldn't completely understand it all so they would deem them as mana-infused crystals or something.

As for the guns... still entirely possible. The kingdom called Melhk (a distant nation to the East which isn't really used much for rp storylines and stuff), the mother of Astri, has steam power technology and gunpowder technology. This includes Ironclads and Muskets.
