korean/chinese/japan words

you think you could make it so we can talk those languages and we don't get the "?" when we say chinese words

Skyld 08-28-2005 09:43 PM

That is a very stupid reason to support other character sets.

Graal currently supports all languages - you just need the proper font maps installed so you can see them on unicode and non unicode programs. (language and regional settings in windows control panel ..)

It's just like how AIM doesn't show japanese by default but it can be configured for that purpose.

yea, but once you change it to japanese you get ¥ for \. it's a travesty.

That and-- anybody that doesn't have it set to japanese just sees funny characters.

Why do you even need those texts supported? Not like theres a OMG SO HUGE amount of players from there.

Okay, we'll just ignore the fact that Graal's audience has been shrinking ever so constantly and not work on expanding it.

Or, y'know, figure out why it's not expanding in its current market, and do something about it rather than making the same mistakes in a new market.

*Edit*
In response to below:

You don't necessarily need high-paid executives to find out why a product isn't working in a particular market. One could easily just make up a survey to send to all emails registered with Graal accounts, and then look at what the survey says. And, for the record, Cyberjouers probably has people that do this -- just not for Graal maybe?

or y'know, how many professionals make up Cyberjoueurs...? Maybe they just don't invest enough.
