tactics INTELLIGENCE and laming in ZONES
 

ok.
so i was fighting this dude, and i killed him. he said i was 'barrellaming, ladderlaming, running away and shooting, using crossbow'.. ill spare your name because flame wars are stupid, but im sure you'll post anyways and proclaim im a noob yadda yadda..
well, after fighting i told him i was using something called TACTICS
and he told me that 'this game isnt about tactics, its about being good' and that i was basically abusing the terrain obstacles.
does that sound like bull**** to anyone else?
why do you think the terrain is THERE in the first place eh?
people complain about 'laming', but what they mean is 'your doing something that kills me and i dont know how to stop it'
shooting at the ladder when people use it, thats SMART thats TACTICS. its not 'laming'. if you dont want to be shot at, then DONT USE THE LADDER. and shoot up the walls. or run awayand wait for them to come down, or strafe the whole building.

People on zone can be pretty stupid somtimes (more than sometimes but meh) as well. The game itself isn't based on being smart or tactics, just being able to dodge and shoot people, which is quite a shame.

Hmm...well speaking realistically tactics in this sort of game IS laming. People just don't wanna use it against lamers otherwise they will be just as bad. You also speak about the ladder, you say don't use it, then how are you supposed to get down? Then you mention shooting over the walls, well it's kind of hard if the person laming is losing so he walks away from the wall away from your range and heals. Then they use long range weapons such as crossbow so you can't get to them. Thus slowing you down where they go right up to you and pump hot lead into your torso.

yes, but there are some tactics involved.. like the ladder etc, or using barrels for cover. i know they are small things, but they can make a difference. i use barrels for cover a lot when i need to switch weapons, that extra second or so lets me switch without getting hit. (if i didnt have the weapon i want preselected).
by not using the ladder, i meant i dont use it if i see someone firing over the ladder.. cause id get hit.. for crossbow, never let your radar dots align in a straight line (well, mostly straight, what with angle variance and right handed characters). if you never give them a clear shot, they cant hit you and will be forced to switch weapons.. example, you can hit someone with appirces and they cant hit you with crossbow because of the way the bullets spread.
gerami, a lot of people dont think about tactics, and call it laming, huwajux its just tactics. dont expect people to be nice to you and make it easy to kill them..

crossbow: dont let them get in a straight line with you on radar
enemy is staying behind cover: go around or throw explosive or go away and let them get annoyed. or, crawl and sneak up a different ladder.. this worked against me once (the only time ive seen someone try it). also, charge on the reload. this is my most common method of attacking cover: count their bullets and ready myself / or just wait for the momentary pause in bullets.. and charge. wielding pipebombs is useful here.

also, try out alpha.. lots of tactics there because there is a LOT of cover.. trees are everywhere. its probaly my favorite level because it is so much fun to play..
i know some people are like 'its for nubs cause u cant win' .. well yeah, no team ever 'wins'.. but its fun. let your scor [hp plus / kills / deaths]e, or your bounty, or having no enemies around you be your goal. and the much cover makes for the most interesting battles. also, you have to be relatively safe to return to dropship.. unlike in ilricia, where you can use the teleporters. so things can get dangerous as your trying to return to avoid death.. and enemies are charging your position.
to avoid the chaingun: it shoots in straight lines. use spread weapons.
to hit people who strafe: get in a pattern where they are firing and arnt hitting you.. be careful that you shooting will slow you down, and if the bullets are trailing you you'll be hit. try dashing (double tapping) to throw off their aim, and while they are trying to recalibrate their aim, charge them.

Errm in short.... I have anger problems so I'm deciding to post it on the forums...

People on zone can be stupid SOMETIMES? Dont u mean all the time O_O Man they are some really stupid people on zone people shoot u with flames and set u on fire then they keep shooting u with flames even tho wen you are on fire getting hit by MORE flames has no affect.. People stood right infront of me try to charge there chaingun wen im pointing apps against there head. People try to hug me wen ive got pipes in my hand, people shoot you when your on there team, people run into land mines poisen and flames like they dont see them O_O. People Strafe Run Heal and Team and THEN Critasies u of doing those things. People get ownt and then call u a lamer (perfect egsample is www.pwned.nl) xD I can go on and on about the Stupidity of people in zone..

Yeh i saw that thing and the guy friggen talks as bad as jin! maybe even worse and he talks funny and i think he says pwnt wrong and HIS FACE GOES RED!!!!!!! sure i swear when people piss me off but not so loud yer mom can hear u at the grocery store

Ya I agree, Zone is all about popularity lol. If you have friends you arn't a lamer but if you make a new file and do the same thing as somone with alot of firends (keeping in mind all your friends don't know who you are) then the one who no one knows about is considered the noob. :S Hell just play the game lol :D
