The return of 4 player mode.

My idea is to create a new client that is based on offline play only.

People could make their own offline quests or buy some official ones.

The official ones would be sold and each one would come with its own unique registration code that players would use to activate the quests.

Any additional ideas are welcome.

Offline mode is boring and a few offline quests won't fix that. Graal relies heavily on player interaction.

Closest you're going to get to an offline mode is the Gameboy game they were making(did they even start it?) but I don't have a clue what's going on with it now.

Heh, this would be an awsome idea to play on a local server or someting

Alex: the gamboy game idea died.

Actually, I had been thinking of suggesting a similar thing too.
Graal is a powerful creation tool and can be used to make a multitude of game-styles.
Then again, I've always been interested in that whole game-creation thing.

And for anyone that thinks Graal wouldn't be fun offline, keep in mind that it was based off of Zelda, which is, of course, a single player game. =P

Anyway, if it does happen, there should be some way to distribute things as a level pack, that can be selected from an in-game menu. Maybe password protection on the levels as well, so people can't just open them and edit them to cheat?

I didn't really read thru the posts because I'm lazy but what about 4 player mode online!!!
Like guest accounts that they have on Halo2.
That'd be 1337ness.
It's also a great way for Graal to reel in more customers.

Have multiple characters online from the same account is a good way to scam, commit fraud, and exploit things...me thinks.

However, I'd love to see offline mode return improved...I loved it with friends over, giving yourself 20 hearts and a gold sword...mwahaha.

If GS2 was use-able offline, you probably could script one.

A Link to the Past is THE best Zelda game and one of the THREE best games ever created.

Decent offline games would be very good. If there was a way to make it so that they can be played, but not edited would be good.

I dunno
4-player guest mode properly secured could be a big freakkin hit and alot of fun

Maybe if there were specific guest servers.
But I don't think encryption of levels would be too hard.

Maybe have a server that streams levels to computers on the fly so players wouldn't be able to download and edit them. But the downside to this is that you would have to be online to play them.
