I'm sure this idea is not one all too unique, but I think it's a good one, having not seen a thread like this in a long while. Sparring is the top event practiced on Graal - some take it seriously, some don't. With this thread, I have three questions:

1.) Who is the best sparrer on Graal? (Use the poll for this please, but also post your pick, if you'd like. I hope the provided choices are to your liking, as they should be.)
2.) Who are the top 10 sparrers on Graal, in order? (Please use the following 25-player pool, which was constructed by myself and others in intent to keep people from making cutesy favoritist lists: Brett, Neo, Gate, Ares, Thallen, Highlander, Quick Strike, Magnus, Sora/Renee, Deophite, Cyclone, Evenglare, Exodus, Clel, X-Storm, Onet, Tyrant, Tortoise, Nomad, King Clops, Mercury, Dark Pheonix, Mariah, Halo, FrozenHeat - I hope the list is to your liking.)
3.) What server is home to the best sparrers on Graal? (Please list your reason for picking what server you do, as well, which could come in the form of a list of sparrers or so forth.)

Best Sparrer: I dont anyone can ever create a list of fair choices for the poll. Different servers have differing lag and diferent typical styles, and so some people from better at different places. To create a list of 10 from one server alone is tricky, let alone from all of Graal.

Best 10 Sparrers: Of the 25 listed, all the ones I've sparred, I've at least beaten them once. I dont really think I can pick 10 from that.

Best Crop: Historically, Classic has always produced some of the best sparrers, at least in my opinion, though with the recent changes in hit detection, were in too much a transitional phase to really defend any kind of claim. I dont play/spar enough anywhere else to form an opinion.

Also, I tried to make this list as active as possible. Daniel rarely spars even when he is online, which is maybe for a good 30 mins a week. Also, if you post, just to stay on topic, I'd really appreciate if you answered all 3 questions, rather than just one, to get this topic flowing. Thanks.

Well, provided an average top 10, I think about 5 tournies including those 10 sparrers would be nice, to show consistancy. 1st place gets you 10 points, 2nd place earns 9, etc. After the 5 tournies, the player with the highest points wins. Or we could do 'round robin,' everyone spars everyone, player with the most wins... wins.

I figured the list I assembled cropped together the top 10 best active, but everyone has their own opinion, and my poll may not be perfect. I'd like more feedback.

Ive sparred most of those people and beat them al even though a lot of them can still be me, it goes back and forth. Look nooblets let me teach you alittle about sparring. You dont have just one amazing sparrer on graal who is the best of them all. You have a select group of sparers that can compete against each other and win back and forth. There will never be the best. Unless your nothing but there Fan. Seriously I think this is nothing but a Fan Thread....and Im sure you have no clue who outa that group of people use a trainer.

I can answer #3 though, Npulse and UN are currently the spar zones and are the places youll find "some" of the best.

A few years ago, that list would be people mostly from early Shaded Legend. :frown:

Lets all do a best 2/3 tournement. :)

You can all come participate in the UTC (Unholy Tournement of Champions) on August 26th.

Bring a friend and particpate in the UTCTT (Tag Tournement) on August 27th.

Cool I beat all these people more than 50% of the time when I was sparring, except brett who I was about 50/50 with.

That's all I think actually disserve to be on the list, everyone these days changes their latency or some other settings now.

Easily would of been Shaded Legend but due to lack of players it's most likely Npulse/unholy nation.

I voted for Brett just because he's the best on the list.

Top 11 (in order from best to worst) is as follows: Halo, FrozenHeat, Shadow Dynasty, Myself, Brett, Tortoise, Thallen, Highlander, Gate, Dark Phoenix, Jeebs (not using your list cause your people mostly suck).

The best Sparrers don't really have a home server, almost everyone on my top 10 list jumps between servers, but they all call either UN, N-Pulse, or Delt home so those 3 servers are where the "best sparrers" are from I guess.

Zz Anyone who uses a trainer and doesnt get caught is my vote. QS and Thallen arnt bad everyone else is like blah no competition there or uses a trainer so they dont count.

o and Delteria has ok sparers I find like atleast 3 people who are good there once in awile. Thats are willing to spar atleast....isnt that bull**** how everyone thinks they are so good but sit there like bums and never spar. =( and those people with like 1800 rate afraid to spar a 1200..rofl thats sad.

Everyone has their opinions but it's near impossible to tell who is actually beter than who. I see people at the top of lists who i beat all the time. Then i see people at the lower part of the lists who i have more trouble with. It all depends on who you are good against personally.

Onet is at the moment, but at one point I tend to think Smurx was/has been the best, as he has beaten me where no one else could. I use to underrate Exodus, but he was really good at one point.

2.)Who are the top 10 sparrers on Graal, in order?

The list is not to my liking. :-) it's mostly a joke besides thallen, frozenheat, onet, brett and exodus. alex dynasty (kurse) dark mirage, are really good, aswell.

3.)What server is home to the best sparrers on Graal?
Classic produced the best sparrers. (Duh???)

3. N-Pulse seems to have a more loyal group of sparrers than UN, and the only reasonable choice for this question would be one of those two servers. I think more good sparrers, including myself, would consider N-Pulse their actual home on Graal than any other server.

This thread is inspiring a lot of people to register for the forums, which is always good.

The three servers have good sparrers (NP, UN and Delt)

lonely, shizty, black rain, xavier, neo, frozenheat, highlander, nomad, kurse, pendragon, kurrupted (few people knows him though), exodus, brett (how can we exclude him?)

Well I am sure I forgot some.

I heard Botzu (beef) was the best Delterian sparrer.


Also killermech, lord contego, daniel and bloodysin used to be the best.

Im voteing for Leo from the matrix because its obvious he would be the best sparer with the matrix on his side.

But on the serious note I vote Brett because hes one of those people who I havnt sparred yet becaise 1. they either idle and never spar except to get to /75 2. He never gets on pulse

It's sort of depressing to see that basically only 2 people know about me, but then again I normally go out of my way to not make a spectacle of myself so I don't get 50 SPAR PLZ messages when I log on.

Maybe I'll come back on in the next few weeks and kick everyones ass just to remind myself I can.
