People quiting with good items.
I think there should be something done to people who quit with items I'm not sure what but there should be something done to get these items off there accounts and back to the players
Now reply and treat this thread like a red headed step child |
I've tried to tell Stefan to make it impossible to destroy no-longer-craftable/kingdom/event items. He just said something among the lines of "BUT WE RELEASE NEW ITEMS". :\ Maybe they release new items, but not nearly at the rate of items getting destroyed.
Yes like Sage Cypher (a good friend of mine) has a Warhammer of Might and he doesnt really play anymore and he still has that hammer which means the price goes higher and higher which is the part of the reason that things cost so damn much
Rich scammers/USD'ers buying a ton of rare items and destroying them devastates the economy a lot faster -_-
Yeah that to well unless something is done GK game play is going to be F***** lol
Another problem is that the stongest people always win almost all the events (except for raffles). And then the strongest players get stonger items. Nice way to unbalance. :(
I said before that items on "dead" accounts should be re-introduced through new events. If the "dead" account comes back, then so what? There's one more item in existence then there should be, just don't release anymore, and someone with one is bound to quit soon enough.
I with that Googi
You're just now complaining about this? Haha, funny stuff.
As they say "Better late then never"
That must be Stefan's / Unixmad's slogan.
Stefan is never late, he's just in the Stefan Time timezone.
Because people would LOVE to resub to find that their account has been looted of its items. /sarcasm
-.- There just needs to be a standard for event items and a constant flow of them. |

It doesn't really matter, GK is doomed no matter what. :\
GK isn't doomed, we just have people who dont want change, and people who are too lazy to instigate change.
Hence the doomed accusation.

I think that if this were to happen - then all those items should go to the newer players.

I Have mixed feelings on this situation, the Items I have are in no way that great, I mean really look, my strongest weapon has 7 damage unprepped. I think that you all need to look at what makes someone strong, its not the items its the skills. Kilik is a great example he PWNS with is IFS and that is a cheap weapon that most could get, but his skills that go with is make it deadly. I agree that some players with "1337" items have a slight advantage but you can either hate it or strive to get better and beat it.

A month?
here's an idea: if you can't fix the economy, add to it as it already is, and re-introduce age-old items that people haven't seen in forever. If the account hasn't been used in say, three or four months (if there's no gold left on it) or five to six (for those with gold still on it) then slowly re-introduce the items (dont' remove it from the account, just make a copy of it to add back into the game) that way, in the unlikely case they -do- return, they won't find their items mysteriously removed from their inventory. A nice little rehash of Googi's idea with a bit added on. |
If 2k2 was made fun again, maybe some of the old players who quit would return?
Suggesting to confiscate items because someone does not like the game anymore is not right. Perhaps if some people had a sense of morality they would understand that taking items from others who earned them is stealing. Only accounts which are permanently banned should be at risk for account stripping by administration. Alot of people might say "oh there are new players all the time". The population is not what it used to be, you all know that. Can a new 2k1 fix the population problem? Doubt it very much, either will graal 3d. 2k1 would most likely provide a population shift, for a while, maybe even permanent. But it wont fix graal. The most anyone can do is speculate on if a new server will attract new players. The only server I could see getting old players back is a new 2k2 that is focused on the kingdoms and allows for war and evenly matched combat. That server might even allow people to roleplay a character out. Its too bad everyone is so pessimistic though, or you could see that there are possible ways to fix the problems here. Graal is dying. 2k2 is dying. And alot of people are at fault for it. Stop making such pointless complains about it. No one listens. Change your attitudes or continue to watch your precious game wither and die. |

I'm not suggesting taking away any items from any accounts. I'm suggesting making more copies of the dead items.
Also. Awesome. Bosh is back to set Andrew straight. |
Don't attack me to death for this idea, but when an account expires on GK or a person sells one of the items to an NPC on purpose, perhaps notifications could somehow come to the EMs in an automated fashion so that they know which ones need to be re-evented to keep them in circulation and which ones don't.
It'd make rare item events happen more than every, say, 3 months. Before the Cowboy was given away, the last thing I could recall being evented off was the Talefung. And that was a long time ago. |
