A new way to practice scripting
 

Right now, it is a matter of knowing the right people to be able to take up scripting. I think there should be a way to test and script NPCs without having to ask for an RC on some server. I was thinking of a mechanism.

VIP or Gold:

1) Open editor
2) Push a "Connect to Scripting Server Validation" button
3) Validating account
4) Account validated
5) Local server launched


Something like that.

Thats a great idea, I know tons of people including myself that would benefit from this idea.

Hey no! Remember what happened last time m1nt and the crew got a hold of a server's RC?

This just makes an RC easy access to people who want to eff things up.

It would be a local server, with a local address and only allowing a local connection to connect to it. Also, the game shouldn't be rendered non-userfriendly just because some guy figured out a way to mess it up. I'm sure a secure way could be used.

This is a great idea. I'd be awsome for scripters like me still trying to learn.

I agree. It took me forever to find a place to practice GS2.

I think he means some kind of offline NPC-Sever simulator.
