types of bases idea
ok!
my idea to make ilricia more interesting: right now, only base 1 has any special properties. base 2 has 3 vehicles.. and is easy for storm to get to. base 5 is easy for sweep to get to. but no special things. only base 1 has anything special about it: a bunker where people can teleport into -- effectively a spawnpoint. so heres the idea: when you take over a base, you select what type of base you want it to be (press a number on keyboard withen 5 seconds of capturing, instead of playing sounds) bases: spawn point: players can warp here. each starting base for the players - the team base, has warps to each base in case they are this type. the warps have a different icon or something to indicate which is which. nuke: i was talking in chat with someone saying they made a nuke to bomb bases with. great idea: heavyinfantry andor defenders can have nukes automatically and can launch them from nuke bases. a nuke base takes 80seconds to prepare for another launch. use the number keys to select a base. ammo: a base that resuplies ammo. ammo crates? or something, that respawn like barrels do (but much slower). extra vehicles and mines base: there are 4 vehicles at this base, and each of them has 10 instead of 5 mines. when you take over a base, you can change what it is with the number keys. when someone dies, they cant use teamchat for 15 seconds. they still receive messages but cant send. that way they cant go 'scout' and then say 'theyve got mortars and mines facing left! go the other way' or something. and its more realistic. anti main base laming: each main base has either turrets or rocket launchers on it (maybe 1 base has 5 turrets the other has 2 rocket launchers?) these automatically shoot at any enemy withen 1 screen distance. this prevents SPAWNKILLING. and i dont think proximity mines should be able to be placed on top of the bases.. read my first idea thread, i think proxi mines should only damage vehicles (but still with the carryover damage if your vehicle is destroyed) |

notice though, not all bases will be spawn points like base1 currently is.. it could be a warping place, a nuke place, a ammo place or have more vehicles that have more mines. but yeah, hqs going to have to be bigger. just expand downleft for storm, and down and up for sweep. |
i think you misunderstood me.. im saying that when you take over a base, you pick what type it will be: a warpoint, like base 1 -currently- is, a ammunition resupply point, a nuke launching place etc..
so if its a nuke place you cant warp there, if its a warp place you cant resupply ammo/nuke there warping anywhere is an idea though.. say: all bases you can warp to, but they have special properties that you pick (extra vehicles and mines / ammo / nuke launch) |
ok so how about we have it like the team with a base can warp 2 that base no matter what base it is

sounds good.
and every base should be replaced with the same (or similar) structure as base 1: a wide base platform with a BUNKER for teleports. lets do this! cause now, the other bases besides 1 dont MEAN anything, they dont affect your team at all. base 1 is the only useful one. so make it all bases! |
