Level+EOA=first level with it
1 Attachment(s)
I made this using the EOA tileset a few days ago. Bridge isnt the best though.
Posted on pulse forums already btw. Yea unlike my last level I posted..this is actually my first level...with the tileset that is lol. Edit:o and I dubbed it little house of the Prairie/Cliff. So the house is plain and simple anyways. But whats wrong with a plain house for a random level anyways lol. |
it's good, but i don't like the dead grass tiles kinda by the water towards the middle of path, but the bridge tiles look cool :-)
|
I like the bridge, even though the top side dosn't fit well with the cliffs for some reason. A lot going on, and I am not a big fan of that but I can appreciate the amount of time it took to put that much detail into the level.
|
Make it so the grass leading from the bridge has been walked on or worn down to make the bridge fit better in the level.
|
It's a good level overall, but the desaturated lighter grass or Dead Grass just totally looks wrong and unnatural, but then again this is grass so, what ever :)
|
Everything but the house looks ok. Is there a point to this level?
|
Yeah. To test out the EOA tiles with his leveling style.
|
If it's not being used, I don't see the point in making the level. None the less, it looks ok.
|
It's like painting pictures :P There's not much point in painting a landscape, but alot people spend time in doing such. It's the same with "pointless" levels really.
Also, in the case of levels: No level is pointless, because every level is practice :) |
If you can produce levels like that, what's the use of practice?
I'm sure alot of people would pay for a picture of a graal level. |
Trying out new tilesets, testing new styles, etc.
It's not the fact about people buying and selling paintings, alot of people paint for pleasure, regardless of a point. |

I enjoy making levels for me more than anyone else. I do grab jobs on servers. But there is nothing better but to do what you wants when making a level.
|
Aye, it'd just be plain arrogant for even the best level makers to say they don't need practice. Practice keeps you up to date with the style. I'm sure if you retained the arrogance for about a year or two, you're whole style would be frowned upon.
