This past week, all I've seen on these forums is either him making some thread about his server, or "Wind Master" blindly drawing from the ideas hat.

Hes doing it out of order like star wars...

This server looks far too plain and undetailed in the screenshots on the site.

If you don't know who Meph is, you sure have the right to talk about him for having under 20 posts.

because the first DR will reveal a lot about the plot, i decided to make these in a strange order, DR2, DR, DR3, and a possible offline game DR.5 (you play as the bad guy :D)each one will be on the same server, just as seperate overworlds, which is why Dark Rival will one day be the largest server yet :D

However, at the quality that your levels are at presently, anyone could do that. You need to make the server something special. Give the levels some real thought, detail and style.

i know, im not the best at levels, i've gotten much better though, and the latest levels i've done (which, oddly enough were not pictured anywhere) are much better than the first levels i did. i focused more on the scripting i guess. i will be improving the levels, and possibly adding a brand new tileset for it. DR 3's gonna be the best, for many un said reasons ;) shhhh but that won't come out for a while, so i should make DR2 the best i can before i move on.

The more you practice, the better you will get.
I applaud you for your efforts, and wish you alot of luck on your server. Don't give up :)

Like Moonie, I also think it's good that you are trying hard at it. However, before you expand your work too much, perfect what's there already. If you've got 400 levels undetailed, it will be a pain to go over them all again at a later date. Working at a low level for X amount of time and then improving it over Y amount of time won't give the same result.

Don't move onto the next level until you're completely satisfied with the one you have been working on. You'll find it much easier to develop a good standard of levels that way.

You have the potential to make your server great, but only if you think realistically.

Oh yea i should know who meph is saying that i barely come on these forums for the past 7 months.

And Meph shouldn't know you being he has been on graal for the last 4 - 5 years.

Shouldn't you uhh get examples of what they've done?

GAT -grafics
LAT -Levels
NAT -scripting
SAT -sound, composes/maintains (picks levels for certain music)
so far I don't have SATs or NATs so apply if you can do either!

Sorry, I have to update this again, and I can't edit it. I am now looking for GATs, LATs, and NATs, but I am also looking for a Co-manager. Must be good at Management and leadership, GFX, scripts, levels, etc. Fill out an application at http://darkrivalonline.tripod.com/id9.html but also include a level or 2 with good design, npcs, and maybe some custom GFX.
