Doesn't seem as though your character could get about in that level. Seems very impractical.

ITS PRINCIPAL PURPOSE IN LIFE IS TO LOOK GOOD
thats where you guys come in ^^

The majority of the level is dominated by one cliff, combined with the tree border, players wouldn't be able to move about this level very easily. And yes that would factor into any level I rated. Stream detailing is good, I spot some tile errors at the base of the cliff, and a few other ones around. Overall, if you take everything into account, I'd give the level a 5/10

How would one level a better stream

You need to work on those swamp tiles, a lot.

Kuza 06-26-2005 06:39 AM

It certainly doesn't stick out or come off as original. If I were you I would try to think of a different way to present the cliffs without making them so huge and overwhelming. That takes away from the other items in the level.

Crono 06-26-2005 04:28 PM

Something tells me you got a lot of help. Your cliffs are almost perfectly connected, your yet you have the most basic tile errors such as the grass side of the cliff on the dirt. Almost all the cliff corners that the grass goes on is an error, and your detail is plain.

5.5/10

You buses (Tall grass, whatever) look unfinished, and you're trees are one big tile error. They go into one another, and they shouldn't..

Otherwise, it's decent. 4/10

RefinoheaT 06-26-2005 09:39 PM

The dark dirt that borders the tiles that change from dirt to water bothers me. You only used the bumpy ones and didn't use the less bumpy ones that go with those tiles. The ones you used make it look too bubbly.

Edit: It's also quite odd that you have the shadow between the two posts. The shadow usually suggests one of two things.
1. There is one of those criss cross things connecting the two posts
2. That is the shadow of the post.

If it's supposed to suggest option number 1, add the criss cross thinger. If it's supposed to suggest option 2, add a shadow for the other post too. If it's just there to decorate, remove it.

Unless you add the criss cross thing, it's going to look odd anyway because it won't match with the shadowing of the cliffs.

Kojiro Chang: Looks good i don't like that circle tile you used for the water detail. Everyone has been using that lately. You have a few tile errors. i give it a 8/10. Keep up the good work ;)

Did you get ANY help with the level itself? I'm sure you did...

Lord Sephiroth 06-28-2005 12:40 AM

I agree with Crono, theres just so many obvious tile errors and then the cliffs are connected perfectly.

Maybe he likes to copy/paste things.
