Sounds like a fairly good idea. One of the main problems, at least thought, was that the economy got out of hand. This would constantly take some gralat off players since people are always using the drasine.
Although I think a better idea would be for players that own a bomy pet able to do what you said, still with having to buy them the special boots but players that don't own a bomy pet they should have to pay more for the hire of the train (bomy which they rent during the drasine ride) than those with a bomy pet who would only have to pay for the boots.
It would give the pet bomys more ststus other than for looks. It would give them a good use other than getting about the water faster.
Although I hope Draktha 3 (the black one) is inclused if the revival succeeds. I loved that bomy.
