You can't open the program...you drag the gif onto the program and it will create a new png/mng file (it will be created in the same folder the program is in)

I dont think paint does transparencies, you will have to get a program that does. I use photoimpact, but there are alot of other programs you can use

Arnack, when I first started making gfx I saved gifs in paint, so I remember that Black (0,0,0 specifically) could be used as a transparent color....but I dont remember exactly how I did it. I wouldnt recommend saving finished files in Paint, though, although it is an excellent tool for producing art.

I do my work in paint, save progress files as big BMPs, and just go back to it whenever I need to work on it, and then I make a bright green square fill around the image, and copy paste it into Animagic. I set the transparency and save it as Gif, in that program. I dont think Animagic lets you do any actual work, besides replacing canvas colors.

I think you can double click the white area around the 2 current-use platlette squares and change that color, and that color which you make it will be the transparency color of the image. Maybe also use a middle mouse button but I cant confirm this, always used 2 button mouses.

Darlene: Uh are you sure about that? I thought it saves the PNG or MNG into the same folder that the original GIF was in, not nessisarly the same folder of the program. Because my Gif2Mng has always been on the desktop...

OK, thankyou :-)
I have another...
When you make Graal gfx, do you compare it to something else to make sure it is the right size? Like a candle, would you compare it to something around that size?

I could be wrong, when I did it, I moved the program to my desktop so I wouldn't lose track of my image, but I might have had the image I was changing on my desktop also :)

Find a Program called Giffy, it will do transparency, then save it as a gif, and convert. Easiest way, 1 click, and a drag and drop.

Yes, get giffy.
Amazing program.
Very easy to use.
It converts Gif to .bmp vice versa and you can transparent with it.
