Admin-Playerworld Forum Access
I think that the Admin-Playerworld account that you get when you register a playerworld should be allowed to be used on the forums as perhaps the person who has registered the playerworld may not have a p2p or a vip account, and to post for help or problems they would not have a forum account. Perhaps not full access to posting on the forums, maybe just the playerworld forum? I myself would not benifit from this at all it was just a suggestion.

Rofl, I seen in the forums rules that you couldn't. So I tried to register and it worked, so I think they should either:
A) Disable it from working. B) Let us go free. Admin-Playerworld64 --> Mine --> it's the newest forum user |
I bet you cant post though.
|
I think it should be able to be used on the forums, so if Stefan/Unixmad read this they may agree, there isn't many worthwhile arguments against it.

Well, I know that sometimes there may be like 2 other admins with access to the Admin Playerworld account info on many of the servers. People tend to give the pw to their co-owners/high admin(s) and whatnot. So then would it be that easy to trust them with posting on a forum and getting you/your server into trouble? No. Don't do it. You can tell people to not give the admin pw out, but hell, you can also just as easily tell someone not to drink and drive.

I support the Admin-Playerworld accounts allowed to go on the forums as for they are an reliable person who could represent their server. This would enhance the authencity of the information they bring, as well as reflect the playerworld themselves. Persay -- If the admin of... Doomsday, persay, comes on the forums and displays the news on it, then you can trust that the information is accurate. If the person on the admin account goofs off, and acts quite immature, that would leave an impecible impression on the server in having a lack of professionalism. Likewise, if they do act appropiately as a promoting citizen of Graal, then their server would get the connotion of being professional, and rather well organized.
It would make the players have a rough opinion on how the server is actually. This would server much purpose in either seeking for jobs, or likewise. The least pleasent thing I see in this is that the playerworld owner can share, and change passwords. This is quite obviously a flaw because multiple people can post on the forums under a single title. Although this is the problem of the user themselves, they should be capable of knowing the consequences of their actions. They paid for the servers, meaning that they either had possession of enough money to do so, or had their parents give a heafty some for it. Either case, the user themselves shouldn't readily give the admin account to anyone unless they are willing to lose what they purchased. Thereby, it should be left in a gray-area and accepted, and banned if they abuse the situation of such. |
They paid for it, Forums should be a given.

You can change your password of the admin acct from your PW pass

Unless of course, someome steals the Admin-Playerworld account. I wonder how many PWs have been stolen since I left?

Most playerworlds never go anywhere, hackers don't really waste time. Stealing playerworlds now a days consists of someone getting rights, and stripping away the rights of the admin account, not stealing the account all together.

True, but it is easier to steal the whole account, which can easily be done through any instant messaging client that accepts file transfers. I won't go into detail with it, for obvious security reasons, but someone mentioned earlier that if someone could have Admin-Playerworld###:abCDefGa for client/RC, and for forums, it could be Admin-Playerworld###:aGfeDCba, for example. That would be the safest way, with different passwords, because it is true that if someone pays all that money for a server, they should be able to access forums regularly without needing a seperate account to do forums. And since we are discussing Admin accounts, just curious, why aren't they allowed the regular features when playing on a different server? If anything, since you pay more for an Admin-Playerworld account, we should be able to save and what-not. The only argument I can think of to dispute that is that if you have an Admin account, your main (if not, only) objective should be bettering your server. |

Also: Dear Admin-Playerworld64, Unfortunately your registration at Graal Communication Center (reserved for gold and vip subscribers) did not meet our membership requirements. Therefore your registration was deleted. Sorry, Graal Communication Center (reserved for gold and vip subscribers) team |
I agree that forums access should be granted. I tried registering Rudora_Admin4 for an experiment. The request for confirmation by the admins was denied, and I got an email saying "Your request did not meet our requirements", or something along the lines of.
I would certainly agree that if you pay however much for a playerworld, then forum access should be allowed. |

I need a couple of those ;-(. One 4 loriel. One 4 me. One 4 a couple of staff. |
I think they were created with the old RC graal used to have. I don't think they came with a Playerworld when you purchased one.

Bravo_GP The reason behind this was because there would be a couple of those accounts per server meaning alot more Administrative access. Well more than of what is allowed today. |
I still have Rudora_Admin4 and 5, and they have to be requested, yes. All of the others were removed.
