Stupid annoying bug....
 

On server i work on called atrius, we have a name system, so someone can introduce themselve and you set name you see them as, if I log on as gman4pwnu which is my account name serverside, it is fine, but if i log on as maybe gMAN4PWnU then the string is not same as account and you see as unknown again, i was wondering if you could force clientside account to use serverside account? or maybe make strings not case sensitive?

Actually I fixed the problem, still maybe a bug, but in my chat system it would send account name from client and use that serverside to send to other clients, instead I just get accountname serverside and send text that way.

It is scripted ? Can you describe it more?

He banned my little brother account cause he so called "hacked his acct name clientside" Who in their right mind would bother doing that?

No less, I am banned their for no reason. They stated:
I said I will pay 30.00$ to destroy Atrius. But their is NO PROOF at all stating that I or nobody said that. madj the owner said G-man just hates me and tries to find anyway to ban me possible.

Your using a string to set your account? Then:
In Control-NPC on actionplayeronline just make it setstring your account their?
If that doesn't solve it, then I am not understanding your problem.

Well, basically, you can log on with any form of your name no matter the caps, and it was messing with my name system.

I fixed ban reason about 3 minutes after banning it, there is no way you can prove it is your little brother unless you change the ip.

Serverside = Your account case-sensitive which you registered. The account that is showed in database.

Clientside = Your account that you are logging in with no matter where you put your caps etc...

It's not a bug, I think it suppost to be their.

G-man. Make a function that converts every letter to lower case then >.>

Then what if someones account was all caps serverside?

I fixed it, i just made it send the account that was serverside while transferring text to players in chat sys.
